Spark In The Eyes
Spark In The Eyes
Bhairvi Maniyar ma’am, thank you so much for always showering your love and faith. It’s amazing how quickly time passes by. I still remember in 11th standard when students were preparing for board exams, I used to go to university lab and learn how to grow a plant in a test tube. You were the one who told me to follow own passion. Passion to be a scientist. Your words ‘I can see the spark in your eyes’ acted as a catalyst during my school days. As a scientist you try out 100 different hypothesis and possibly none of them works and then you doubt your credibility. Today was such kind of a day for me. But you reminded me that the spark is still inside me and I just have to keep working hard. I feel very fortunate and blessed to be your student.
This was Nidhi Nagar, a student of my class during 2007-2009. She had been working under A Nobel Laureate Ms. Jennifer Doudna, 2020 as a Junior Scientist. Regarding that she remembered me as an Inspiring Teacher !!!
Hence It was a Proud Moment for Me Too.
Here is a story of Magic of one sentence in someone's life.
Once a teacher found that a girl was confused. Teacher asked her the reason. She replied that she can't be a Doctor. Teacher said,"Don't worry, You Can Be A Scientist. You Have That Spark In Your Eyes !"
Then Nidhi participated in a Science Fair with a Model of Tissue Culture. She opted a Medicinal Plant viz. Elicostemma Axillare - Sinhal herb. That plant is useful for Diabetes.
I helped her to go to St. Xavier's College & Gujarat University Laboratory for Tissue Culture Practical Work.
During Covid Time, She had been A Part of Vaccine The Research Team in USA.
Nowadays she is a Technical Manager at Quest Diagnostics. CA.
Yes, A Teacher Can Inspire The Students & Can Motivate Them For Selection Of The Field of Interest. & Can Create a Magic.
