To visit Shanti Kunj was my dream as I heard from the people, finally, I decided to visit, journey to Haridwar and Shanti Kunj was a memorable moment, I will never forget, that day was basically known as 'Ganga Dashera' which is celebrated in Haridwar. I went with my family, we hired a taxi for saving our time, we started our journey at 11 pm from Delhi.

The weather was very naughty on that day, one of my friends advised me not to travel on that day, information about climate was not good for Haridwar. I was worried about, should I go or not, finally I decide to step forward, and really we faced on the way.

After crossing Delhi, Gaziabad, and Meerut, we turned towards Haridwar-Dehradun road. The weather started changing from there, cloudy and then rainy, during the heavy rain, hailstones started falling, the taxi driver was really brave, he did not stop driving, we went on, raining didn't stop, on the way we were about 10 km to reach Haridwar, a big traffic jam occurred there, we got down from taxi saw a number of vehicles back to back on the way, about 20 or more, by the way, it was moon night, we could see people were trying to solve the problem, A big tree was fallen on the road, they were cutting the branches of a tree, we and all people got down from their vehicles and helped to push the tree to another side of the road. It was a nice experience to help the people going forward, my son also participated in that situation. Finally, we reached Haridwar at 6 am in the morning.

At Haridwar, there is 'Hari ki pori' a holy place where more than 70 thousand people were there for the Ganga Dashera bath. We were looking for a better place, my son searched the place where we could handle a big chain in the running river Ganga for a bath. We took bath and changed our clothes and then we went to the temple side, after taking around, it was very congested to pass through the crowd, anyhow we climbed to the top place from where we could see all view, then taken lots of photos, selfies and then came out of that place. At about 8 am from the main road we went to another holy place that was 'Shanti Kunj'.

I would request all if you visit Haridwar for any reason please don't forget to go to Shanti Kunj. This is an Ashram organized by Shanti Lal Sharma, all the people are welcomed thereof all Hindu religions, we can get their janeu, marriage, mundon, and any kind of Shanti oath in groups.

All the staff of Shanti Kunj wearing gerua kurta pajama, all are helpful for all kind of work, they will advise you for religious activities, the special thing of there was all the activities done free of cost, any Hindu can go there for group marriage, group janeu, group mondon. The Ashram was about a 2-acre area, It was a big surprise for me. I got my son's janeu there on that day. Even after all activities, the Ashram had an arrangement of lunch for all. We had our lunch there and was really very tasty.

Every time everywhere there were an announcing along with CCTV coverage, the announcement was 'all our people are for your help, please do not pay any amount to anybody, if you really want to donate then please donate at donation box but don't forget to take receipt of the same'.

It was a fantastic moment for me, my family was busy with the Shanti Kunj activities, they took some rest in the restroom used washroom was really very neat and clean, I was in search of my writing material. I noted whatever required for me. Then again we hired a taxi we were so tired, returned back to Delhi.
