Parents are the most important part of our lives. It is for them that we are in this world. They have sacrificed a lot for us. No one can fully fulfill their debt.

Raghav completed his engineering degree from NIT Mangalore. He got a lot of offers of jobs from renowned companies within and outside India.

Raghav however wanted to work near his hometown. He choose Bangaluru as his workplace and joined an IT company.

He would travel daily from his home to his work place. Once his mother's health became serious. He took leave from his office to look after his mother. By the time his mother's health improved, it was already four months.

Raghav missed an opportunity to get promoted due to his long leave. However he has no regrets!

Once he met a girl who was very beautiful. Raghav felt a soft corner for her. He approached her and they started dating. However when Raghav told the girl that his parents are his priority and that the girl must look after his parents with utmost care, the later had other plans.

She wanted to settle in a different house with only her and Raghav. This was not at all acceptable to Raghav. He immediately broke his courtship with her!

Later he married a girl of his parent's choice.

Throughout his life Raghav performed his duties as a son. Later when he needed the same support from his children, he surely got it. His children were also very obedient and cultured like him.

We get what we give in this world. Today when children forget their parents sacrifices and become mean and leave them alone in their old age, the story of Raghav as a modern-day Shravan Kumar is an eye-opener for all of us.

Everyone must respect their parents and take care of them and fulfill all their wishes with utmost care. One can never match their sacrifices and fulfill their debts in this birth. However one must try to give them happiness and peace and time and look after them when they need you most.
