Missed Call Romeo!!!

This incident happened around 9years ago, Vijaya was using an old Nokia mobile phone. She was not tech-savvy, was not aware of how to save the contact. Whenever she wanted to make a call, she looked at her contact diary and dialed numbers. 

One day she wanted to call her best friend Zakiya, she dialed a number but no one answered the call. Later while dialing again she realized that instead of 99xxxxx306, she had dialed 99xxxxx206. 

She spoke to her friend and we both sat down to sip hot tea in the evening. Her mobile starts ringing, she looked puzzled. It was the number she had dialed by mistake.

She picked up the call to apologize to the unknown person for disturbing him/her. From the other end, a male voice is heard 

" Hello, who is this?? I got a missed call from your number?".

Vijaya felt a bit embarrassed and answered, "So sorry Mister, by mistake I dialed your number instead of my friend's number. Very sorry to bother you". 

The male voice on the other end replied decently " Oh, it's ok Mam, I can understand. By the way where do you stay".

Vijaya bit confused about whether to answer the question or not she replied " I stay in Bangalore, near ABC layout". 

The male voice on the other end "Oh wow, even I stay in Bangalore. Xyz layout. It's very close. You have a lovely voice mam. I liked your voice very much.

Vijaya though he is no more friendly stranger a Road Romeo, she composed herself and said " Ok good, I am disconnecting the call I have lots of work to do".

The male voice another end "Ayoo why Madam so soon. You have got such a lovely voice. Do you sing songs?? Can we meet tomorrow, near GTS park?? Please don't say no. I am your fan now!!! please I beg you....please... I think I fell in love with you!!!. 

Vijaya was irritated now she could not control her anger anymore " Ayooo deva, you idiot, I am 60 years old lady, I have a grandson and granddaughter of your age. Do you still want to meet me?? Scoundrel Please spare me from this rubbish. Don't disturb me thinking that I am a young girl, who believes your nautanki...Dumb fellow!!! 

She disconnected the call and looked at me. I was a mute spectator of the entire episode and started laughing hysterically looking at her.

Well, that's my mother-in-law, Even now I tease her, whenever there is a missed call from an unknown number. Must be your MISSED CALL ROMEO... 

Even now we remember this and have a hearty laugh!!!
