Lord Vishnu has a conch that he keeps with himself all the time. On one fine day, he noticed that the conch was nowhere to be found. He got irked and started searching for it.

Then he suddenly began hearing the sound of the conch coming from a distance. He began searching for it in that direction and soon realized that the sound of conch was coming from Mount Kailash itself.

Lord Vishnu reached the Kailash mountain and found that the conch was taken by Lord Ganesha, who was now busy blowing it.

Lord Vishnu knew that Lord Ganesha would not relent easily. He, therefore, sought the help of Lord Shiva and asked him to request Ganesha to return the conch back to him.

Lord Shiva said that he too was unable to pursue Ganesha to return the conch back to Lord Vishnu. And the only way to appease him is to perform a puja for him.

So, Lord Vishnu set up all the necessary arrangements for the puja and worshipped Lord Ganesha with all his heart.

Seeing this, Lord Ganesha was extremely happy and he returned Lord Vishnu’s conch back to him!

The story reveals the fun side to Lord Ganesha and his antics. Moreover, it teaches us about humility by showing that God as great as Lord Vishnu himself, did not hesitate to worship Lord Ganesha.
