Jungle Mayhem- Part 6

NOTE FOR ALL THE READERS- PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT READ THE PREVIOUS PARTS, KINDLY READ THEM SO YOU CAN ENJOY THE STORY MORE.

Yo! I am back, finally with Part-6! I know that all of you must be scratching your heads to know more about the next adventure.

We walked for a very long time, and then we had finally reached The Strange Omens forest. It was really gloomy. Spiders hung from the branches of the trees. Even though it was still daylight, the forest was super dark. "Umm. Rozk are you sure we will come back alive?" Felix said, worried. "The name's Reva and not Rozk. Please dont say that! Let's be confident!" I said. 

After 15 minutes, Felix instructed me, "Okay, now we have to take a left and then a right from this road. You get it?" I nodded. "I even took an encyclopedia that will help us to escape from here and tackle the problems as soon as possible. So, as per the book, it's written that we may meet some monsters and they will probably ask us some questions." She said. "What type of questions will they ask?" I asked, perplexed. "Riddles or math problems, most likely." She replied, shrugging. "But, you don't need to worry, because I'm an expert at solving riddles!" I smiled at her.

IN THE JUNGLE, JULIAS CONVERSATION WITH THE LEADER OF THE TRIBES. 

"Hey, you! Ya, ya, you the leader of the tribes. How are we supposed to find Reva and the guide?" Julia said, pointing at the leader of the tribes. "I am not sure." He said. "Whaaaaaaatttttt?! I thought you were thinking about the plan! Just listen, I want to go from this place! Because of you, I can't even record my travel experiences and share them on YouTube. You broke my camera!! Remember?" She screeched. The leader just sighed. Julia and the leader thought and thought for a plan to find me.......

REVA AND FELIX'S ADVENTURE.

So where was I? Yes, I was happy that Felix was good at solving riddles. We took a left, then a right, and kept walking. Out of the blue, some beast came in front of us! "Hh-hello, Mr. Whatever is your name, we want to pass from here." Felix said, stammering. "Excuse me, my name is not whatever is your name. It's FireEyes. As per the rules, you need to solve some riddles that I'll ask. Otherwise, you cannot pass. That's the rule, as I said." he said. "Yes, we're ready!" Felix and I said confidently. 

He asked us the first riddle, " What begins with "E" and ends with "E", but has only one letter?" I looked at Felix, hoping that she would know the answer. "Ahem...how many chances do we get," she asked, clearing her throat. " One chance only!! So think before you answer!!" he replied. Then, suddenly, a light bulb went off inside my head. "The answer is.....an envelope!!" I said, confidently. FireEyes nodded his head. Felix was still confused about the answer. "How's that possible? The word envelope has 8 letters and not one," she asked. "Actually, here, the letter is meant by the letters which we read. Not alphabets. And we know that only 1 letter is put inside an envelope." I replied. "Okay, enough talking. Let me ask the second riddle. What has an eye but cannot see?" He asked. "It's a needle!!" Felix said, confidently. Wow! I mean, that was super-quick! "Yeah!! It's....uh...correct, yes." he snorted. "Woo-hoo!!" We shouted. "The third one: Using only addition, add eight 8s to get the number 1000," he asked. Even Felix was confused now. She asked, "Anyone has a paper and a pen?" "Just think. I'm sure we'll get the answer." I said. We calculated the answer mentally. "So, we need to add eight 8s to get the answer as 1000, somehow, right?" Felix asked FireEyes, and he nodded. "Let's try, 8888 8888?" Felix suggested. "No, I don't think the answer will come out to be 1000," I said, frowning. "Actually, the answer for the sum 8888 8888=17776 and not 1000."

"So, let's try, 88 88 88 88?" I said, "No...it will be 352." "So, let's try, 888 88 888?" Felix said, again. "Er..no. You're still wrong. 888 88 888=1864." I said, disagreeing. "I guess, we must accept that we do not know the answer," Felix said, sadly. "No, wait!! I think I know the answer. 888 88 8 8 8=1000!! So this is the answer!" I said, joyfully. "Woowww!!! That's phenomenal!!!!" Felix said. We told the answer to the monster, and he said it was correct!! "Okay, so you've solved my riddles correctly, and I'll let you pass. But, you must travel carefully. I will also give you a small gemstone, which will prove that you are traveling only for good intentions. Different guardians will try to test you, and if you pass, they will also give you a gemstone. There are 4 guardians in this forest. One of them has 2 gemstones." FireEye's informed, and then he handed a bright red gemstone to me. I handed it to Felix, who kept the gem in a sack carefully.

We started walking, proceeding towards the next adventure. I had no idea about the next guardian, so I asked Felix to check in the encyclopedia. She read out, "The second guardian, is a butterfly named BeautyFlies. She's the queen of the butterflies, and if you pass her test, she will hand over the Rainbow gemstone to you."

Rainbow gemstone, here we come!! Do you think me and Felix will be able to conquer rest of the 4 gemstones and bring the treasure back?
