Let’s start the headlight, on the road of darkness we need to start headlight of our vehicle to reach our destination safely without any accident or obstacles. You might be wondering why am I telling you this, all of us know that we need to do this for our safe and secure ride but do we really apply this in our lives? The question ringing in your mind, ‘What, headlight in life?’
Sorry for the confusing introduction, let’s consider our life as a road which leads to various destinations i.e. our goals but darkness of negative thoughts make it difficult for us to reach there as we can’t see our path clearly and get distracted and take the wrong path. But to achieve our goals we need to switch on headlight of positivity in life. I know it seems a complicated in reading, but just imagine your goal is a place and you are trying to get there but are not able to because of darkness of negative thoughts, how will you reach? Of course by switching on the headlight of positivity your path will be clear and you will reach your goal. How can we become positive? Many of us feel that we need positive environment to be positive but as it is said, ‘We don’t see things as they are but as we are.’
To have positive environment we need to be positive first. When one is in negative situation where one has failed, stumbled or made mistake, try to be positive by asking yourself , what is positive in this situation? What can I learn from this situation? Yes, it’s a bit difficult at first but once you start doing it, its just a piece of cake for you. It helps us to relax and positivity will always be our partner whether in good or bad times. Start day with a smile, pray God, listen to positive thoughts, read inspirational and positive articles. Smile, it increases positivity and it does not require much effort, smile is a curve which sets everything straight, just smile. Take criticism positively, understand the basis of criticism and just don’t get offended, think upon areas of improvement, it may happen that critics might help you to know your weak areas and you can improve to be the best version of yourself. “ You reap as you sow.”
Have you ever wondered what are you sowing in garden of your mind? If you sow positivity you will reap positivity and vice-versa is just as true. Positive thoughts and self-talks help us to imbibe positivity in our life. Whenever negative thoughts start popping up in your mind just say stop, breathe and repeat positive affirmations. Positive affirmations helps to boost our confidence and self esteem too, like- I am confident, I am positive, I am committed to self-improvement etc. Create your own affirmations note down them in a page and start repeating it at least twice a day, but it will not work as long as you don’t visualize. Visualize yourself as confident, as positive and you will be master of positivity. Develop an attitude of gratitude and focus on your strengths rather than your weaknesses. I would like to end with this famous quote, “Winner has a solution for every problem and loser has a problem for every solution.” So, let’s start switching on headlights of positivity in our mind and achieve our goals.
