There is a adorable dog in Columbia, U.S.A. who buys cookies in exchange for leaves!

Yes it's true! Negro, lives at the Diversified Technical Education Institute of Monterrey Casanare in Colombia. He was adopted by the staff and spends his time by freely roaming in the school’s yard. Students sometimes bought cookies for Negro at the local store.

Negro used to carefully observe this. He saw that they used currency notes for buying.

One day he spontaneously appeared with a leaf in his mouth, wagging his tail and letting it be known that he wanted a cookie! a teacher named Angela Garcia Bernal told The Dodo.

The store attendant named Gladys Barreto said that she was astonished by the dog’s intelligence and decided to sell a cookie in exchange of the leaf! She added that Negro comes daily to purchase cookies. And since his currency(leaf) grows literally on trees, the store’s staff decided to allow Negro to buy treats only a couple times a day!

Hence the smart dog, Negro has found a way to make his motives known and uses leaves as his currency for his cookies!
