Background:

The male lead was intelligent and driven, pursuing a career in business analytics. During his studies, he reconnected with his school classmate—the elder sister of the female lead. Their bond strengthened as they worked together, supporting each other through academics and life.

The female lead came from a business-oriented family. Unlike her serious and studious elder sister, she was carefree and playful. After high school, her family insisted she study abroad for better opportunities. She resisted, wanting to follow in her sister’s footsteps, but it was her sister’s words that convinced her: "There’s more scope outside. If I had the chance, I would have studied abroad too." Reluctantly, she left.

Plot 1: The Beginning of Love

During their university years, the elder sister and the male lead became inseparable. When they first met again after school, she greeted him warmly, "Oh, it's you again! Have you also chosen the same field? Nice to meet you again. You haven’t changed—that’s good."

Their relationship grew over time, filled with late-night study sessions, deep conversations, and dreams of the future. They never officially labeled their relationship, but their bond was undeniable.

Meanwhile, the female lead flew abroad, hugging her sister before leaving. "I will miss you—especially your special dishes for the next few years," she joked.

Plot 2: A Tragic Night

A year later, it was the elder sister’s birthday. She thought of inviting the male lead to celebrate but decided to go out with her family instead.

That evening, the male lead called, "Hey, happy birthday!"

She softly replied, "Thank you."

"You sound quiet. What’s wrong?" he asked.

"I won’t be able to throw a party tonight," she admitted. "I’m going out with my family instead."

He smiled, "That’s fine. We’ll celebrate another day. Just enjoy your day."

Later, he tried calling again, but she didn’t pick up. Thinking she was busy, he casually switched TV channels—and suddenly froze. A breaking news alert appeared on the screen: a fatal accident had occurred, and her family was involved. The elder sister was no more.

Grief consumed him. He rushed to the accident site, but it was closed off for investigation.

Far away, the female lead was unaware. She called home, but no one answered. Smiling to herself, she thought, "I think my sister is too busy celebrating with family and friends to take my call."

Plot 3: A Search for Truth

When the female lead eventually learned about the tragedy, she was shattered. But grief was soon replaced by determination. "I will find out what really happened to my family," she vowed.

After completing her studies, she returned home. The house remained locked, cared for by kind neighbors. Stepping inside, memories flooded her, and she broke down in tears.

Seeing this, the neighbor aunt knocked gently and said, "If you need anything, just let us know. Your uncle and I have always cared for your family."

She wiped her tears and replied, "Thank you, Aunt and Uncle, for everything. You have always been kind to us since childhood. But my heart is broken."

The neighbor invited her inside. As she entered, she greeted, "Hello, Uncle."

The uncle, sensing her pain, said, "Life is like this—you never know what will happen. You can’t change the past, but you can choose how you come back from every struggle."

The aunt got emotional, knowing the pain of loss. Everyone in this world had lost someone they loved.

Plot 4: Fate Brings Them Together

The female lead joined a company to rebuild her life. There, she met the male lead—but neither of them knew their true connection.

For the male lead, ever since the incident, finding the truth had become an obsession. He had started his own secret investigation, refusing to accept that it was just an accident.

When he saw the female lead for the first time, he felt a strange familiarity. "Are you a newcomer?" he asked.

She smiled, "Yes, I just joined."

They ended up working on the same project, forming a team. She had no idea he was investigating her family’s case, searching for answers. And he had no idea how deeply their fates were intertwined.

Unbeknownst to her, the male lead had been to her house multiple times for his investigation. One day, out of gratitude for his help in the project, she invited him over for lunch.

"You’ve helped me so much. Have a treat from my side—come to my house for lunch," she said.

He hesitated. He wanted to refuse. Stepping into that house would bring back too many memories. More than that, he now knew the truth—she was the younger sister of the woman he had once loved. But he couldn’t say no to her.

As he entered, his eyes wandered across the familiar walls, the framed pictures—the echoes of the past still lingering in the space. He stood frozen, lost in thought.

Noticing his strange behavior, the female lead teased, "You’re looking at this place as if you’ve been here before. Or do you just really like the color? Well, my father chose it!"

His gaze landed on a family photo. Her sister’s smiling face looked back at him. Emotion swelled in his chest. He clenched his fists, trying to suppress the overwhelming wave of grief and longing.
