Two Steps For One
Two Steps For One
The black clouds only seemed to get darker as the climb started,
Raining evidently on no one but me.
But after every small step, I was a little less broken-hearted,
As the clouds seemed to pay heed to my plea.
Maybe for every step people take, I've to take two,
Though that makes me seem like an eagle complaining about its speed.
When somewhere there's an ostrich that can't fly for a view,
I still tend to feel justified to complain about my greedy needs.
I'm like a bird that just hatched out of its shell,
The bird has everything it needs and more.
Somehow the bird still manages to complain and yell,
At the whole world, someone else would never ignore.
