Work By Others

The river crashes right into the blocked way,

And folds in on itself. 

It was already too late when it found a route for the getaway. 

It was left hoping someone had helped it as well. 

Luckily the pond had its friends,

Who made it easier for it to believe in itself. 

They helped the pond use its weekends,

By locking it into the bookshelf. 

Hopefully, it works out for the pond, 

Because there's work put in by its friends too.

Who after every jab, never fail to respond,

For every cut with a new shoe.
