Red Flags Taken Notice Of

I saw my red flags from the start,

Yet I went ahead and put in the work. 

Gaining knowledge takes a hundred hits to my heart,

I wish you the best, along with your artwork. 

All the time that I wasted on it,

When I knew what else I was missing out on.

I ended up deeming it more important and I guess that makes me a hypocrite,

But now, I see the dusk lead to dawn.

Should've stopped going all the way and making sacrifices,

And given more importance to my goals. 

I know they say I'll be paying high prices,

So I'm stopping now and taking all control.
