Gone but not forgotten
Gone but not forgotten
How can she go so easily?
So many longing eyes behind her,
Eagerly waiting to greet and hug her,
Yet, she disappeared as if she were never before!
How can she be forgotten?
Her memories are dusted every day,
A woman with a big heart and bubbly self,
Darkening the world as she now lights up another.
How can she unexpectedly cross the bridge?
She was adeptly playing multiple roles,
The fulcrum of the house, she held it together,
Yet, she severed all ties and off she went.
Writhing pain due to terminal illness,
She is now relieved, as she dances with joy,
Being hugged by her long-deceased parents,
What a lovely sight it must be, to behold!
Yet, there are some, like me and more,
A day can’t pass without feeling her,
Life, nevertheless, should cruise as usual,
Soothing flashbacks often, confer upon me bliss.
