Passionate Road

When suppressed passion pierces through the brume,

Life is bound to take a magnificent turn, severing ties,

With ghoulish silhouettes, and strikingly similar temptations,

Despite the road ahead submerged in the pall.

Winter or rain, dusk or dawn, eyes cannot detect,

A confused state of affairs, may be blurred by tears,

Of desperation, renunciation, angst and helplessness,

Hope is nowhere to be found when the trail turns grey.

Yet, there’s a steady burning fire agleam inside,

Painted in rich colours of confidence and zeal,

Though, lost under the suffocating pollution,

Relax! It’s just for a while, assures the heart.

And, so, on the damp path, you go,

One fine day, at the spur of the moment,

Shrugging off the demonic voices within,

Deterring you from accomplishing your feat.

Carefully you take each step, lest you disappear,

And as you penetrate the pall, you realise,

The road ahead is clear and has been waiting,

Just for you to bring forth your heart’s desires to the front.
