Are You GAY?

I may not be a part of the community,

But I stand with them in solidarity.

Why you may ask, I met a person who was Gay,

Who is it they asked me to say?

She was my friend,

She was with me till the very end.

What do you mean by the very end?

I said, "She killed herself because

Society didn't let her be who she wanted to be."

She was like a sunflower, always facing the sun,

While the others looked at her and poked fun.

She used to question the very idea of 'Being Gay and GAY'

She would to tell me, "I can't be Gay and GAY."

Here 'Gay' and 'GAY' meant two different things.

It meant being happy and a homeosexual person.

At that time, I didn't get what she truly meant.

Oh! It is a pity, that we live in this society,

Where being a homeosexual is considered a shame.

Where seeing a doctor for our physical health isn't lame.

Going to therapy won't make you happy they say,

Little did they know that,

A flower doesn't bloom,

In a weather that is gloom.
