Marital Rape: The Red Trail

Marital Rape: The Red Trail

On that fateful night, everyone was busy looking at her dress and her fake smile,

An elated bride and her aura filled the room with many joyous cries;

No one even cared to look at the groom and his monstrous eyes,

If they had, I am sure they would have seen the hunger along with many lies.

Low tunes and melodious songs were sung on your wedding night,

While I was tied to your bed and believe me I was tied tight

I do not think I can put into words what happened that night,

It still gives me the chills, and it still gives me the fright.

My night was filled with your shouts and my muffled screams,

Everything turned grey after that night, I no longer see colours in my dreams;

I think I heard some sniffed laughs and scratches on that closed door,

Maybe your friends too wanted some of this, wanted some more!

Your nails went deep into my back, my blood was frozen,

I could hear another, not far away, going through the same

You ripped apart my soul exactly as you ripped apart my dress,

All you left me with is to lead a life full of this mess.

Again, the next night when you turned to close that door,

I wanted to cry, I wanted to shout, "Please, no please, no more!"

Do you want to see how every night since, in that room, humanity fails?

You can see my bed covers and that regular, pious, red trail.
