Broken

I still remember the day

When we first meet

As our eyes interlocked

Lips went silent

Shy in your eyes

Scarlet red blush on mine cheeks

The way you slowly held my hand

And promised me to hold it forever

As I stood there

Alone on a deserted road

Your hand slowly slipped from mine.

The promise of forever was broken

Along with my heart.

"Trust me" 

That trust was broken

I am still

Standing there

With the hope that you will be back

Years had passed now

My hope is slowly crashing down 

With every passing moment

The wait is becoming unbearable

Life is dying

With the broken promises and crashing hopes.
