Saif and Shiraz

Saif lived in Ahmedabad in Gujarat. He was a poor boy who worked in a store. His father had a pan shop and sold many varieties of pan. Infact Saif's father shop was the most famous in the entire city. His mother was a housewife. He had no siblings. They lived in a small house. They managed two meals a day and were contented with their simple living.

Saif had a close friend named Ahmed, whose father had a big antique shop. On one day, Saif went to Ahmed's shop just for a visit. While seeing the different artifacts he saw a really old lamp of Baba Azam's time!!

Since his childhood he had heard the stories of Aladdin and his magic lamp. He was always fascinated by such unique lamps. He decided to purchase it.

He took it home after buying it. While on his way he met a beggar, who asked for some help. Saif gave him the Rs. 50 that he had!! The beggar blessed him and went away.

As it was scorching heat outside, Saif sat under a tree. His house was still one km away. He decided to take some rest. While sitting idle, he started cleaning the lamp with a handkerchief.

To his wonder, smoke came out from it and a genii appeared!!

The genii prostrated before Saif and said that he is the genii of the lamp and he was visible to only those masters who did a selfless deed within twenty-four hours of getting the lamp!!

As Saif had helped the beggar, so now genii would be at his service but would only do one work of the master in twenty-four hours!!

Saif thought for a moment and asked the genii his name. The genii said that his name was Shiraz, when he was converted into a genii by a wicked magician!!

Saif told Shiraz that from today onwards he could call him his friend!!

He was very hungry. So he ordered some food for him and his family. At once many tasty food items appeared from nowhere!!

Saif looked around, there was no one!!Shiraz assured Saif that only Saif could see him!!

Saif took all the food items to his home and ate to his content with his mother and father.

Saif never asked any hi-fi gifts from the genii. He continued leading a simple life.

Meanwhile Shiraz was also happy to get a good master like Saif!
