NOTE: This story is loosely based on the true incidents, that happened in Kerala recently. It doesn’t hurt any individual’s sentiments. A story, to create a social awareness. A big incident like human sacrifice has just happened in Kerala. To become rich, an old couple sacrificed two women, and they even ate that meat. Another shocking incident happened again in Kerala. Now it was a hot topic which is talked among Kerala’s people. 

NARRATION FORMAT: The story is narrated in chronological format. It follows non-linear mode due to the complex nature of the story.

OCTOBER 25, 2022

TUESDAY

On Tuesday, October 25, A 23-year old person named Sharon, had died in a very mysterious way. Even doctors couldn’t figure out how a healthy person suddenly died without any reason. So ADGP Ajith Kumar got involved in this and a special team was formed.

After that, when they investigated it, who is responsible for this? How a perfect plan has been laid and all this has been done. Now it has came out and shocked entire Kerala. Now the entire Kerala media is talking about the topic.

FEW MONTHS BACK

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM

In Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala there’s a place called Parassala, where Sharon Raj resides. On 14^th of October, he took his friend Rejin, to Ramavarmanchira in Kanniyakumari, Tamil Nadu to his girlfriend’s house to get record books from her. When they went there, Rejin went outside the house. Sharon Raj alone went inside the house and came out after some time. And when he came out of the house, he was continuously vomiting. Not only that, till he got home from there, he was continuously vomiting all the way.

Not only that, he also said that he vomited in Blue color.

PRESENT

At present, Rejin tells to Crime branch officer Ramesh in his house: “Sir. As soon as he came to his hometown Parassala, Sharon was immediately admitted in a government hospital. After that, he was transferred to Medical college hospital.”

Actually, it was Rejin, who had been explaining the incidents to Ramesh. Since, he came with his crime branch team to his house for a small interrogation. Now, Rejin continued: “There they took a lot of test for him sir. And his blood sample was tested. But they said that, there is no problem in his body and he can go home.”

Wiping his tears, Rejin explained the aftermath of the discharge to Ramesh.

17 OCTOBER 2022

After going home, his condition started to deteriorate in the next few days, sir. So again he was admitted in Medical College Hospital on 17^th October. There he was immediately put to dialysis. And in the next few days, they saw that his lungs were severely damaged. And when the doctors took some more tests, all his internal organs are damaged. So they suspected that he may drunk something which was mixed to acid.

FEW DAYS LATER

29^TH OCTOBER 2022

That’s when doctor informed this to the police. The police also interrogated Sharon. But at the beginning they didn’t get any suspicious information. When it is like this, on October 29^th, the 23-year old Sharon’s health has worsened and his internal organs went un-functioned. He eventually died.

Hearing this, Sharon’s family was shocked and started crying. Immediately his body was taken for autopsy. But when the autopsy was done, shocking reports that no one expected has come.

PRESENT

Closely monitoring the mannerisms of Rejin, Ramesh questioned him at present: “What is it?”

“First, the doctors said that Sharon might have drunk something mixed with acid, sir. But there is no trace or evidence for it.”

“So how did his internal organs stopped working and he died?” asked Ramesh. Rejin denies the knowledge about it and henceforth, Ramesh decides to intensify the investigation when he realized that there was something else in this. First he started investigating Sharon’s family members.

That’s when, the family said: “They have doubts on Sharon’s girlfriend. Because he had been vomiting continuously since he went to her house on 14^th October.” And said that, since then only he has been vomiting in blue color. So Ramesh started questioning Sharon’s girlfriend Trisha.

And what Trisha said is, “Yes, on October 14^th, Sharon came to my house to get record book. Then, I made a challenge to Sharon.” She said emotionally to which, Ramesh questioned: “What is that challenge?”

“Every time when I has headache or body pain she used to take some Ayurvedic medicine. And on that day also, when she was drinking some Ayurvedic medicines, Sharon saw this and teased me. He teased me by saying that, I am always drinking some kind of potion. So, I challenged him to drink that potion.”

“Did he drank that?” 

“At first Sharon couldn’t drink it. Because it was so bitter. So Sharon tried again and drank that whole potion. Since the taste was very bitter, I gave him a mango juice to change the taste. And after drinking that mango juice he left.” Trisha said to Ramesh and the other crime branch police in the house.

Before leaving the house, Ramesh asked about that ayurvedic medicine name and the location of the bottle to Catherine to which she replied: “My mother throw that away to the garbage collectors, sir.”

A FEW DAYS LATER

The Crime branch under Ramesh’s head investigated again after a few days. So now what Trisha said is, “Sir. We used the potion by changing it from it’s bottle to an empty container. Not only that, my mother only will give me that potion.” And she told Ramesh that, “She doesn’t know the name of it.”

And she even called the SI and said, “You are suspecting me. If you are suspecting me like this, then I’ll commit suicide.” But the crime branch police who was not worried about this, started to investigate about the Ayurvedic medicine after a few days.

And this time, Trisha said: “The medicine was bought by her relative Priyadarshini.” So the police team of SI went to Priyadarshini and investigated and asked her, “What is the name of that drug and where did she bought it?”

Priyadarshini said the name of that medicine and the address of that medical store where she bought it to Ramesh. And when police went to that medical store and asked about that medicine, they said that: “They don’t sell such medicine in their store.” So again, when the police and Ramesh came to Priyadarshini and asked why did she lied to them, she said that Trisha was the one who told to say like this.

After that, last Sunday, Ramesh continuously interrogated Trisha for 8 hours. That’s when she agreed that, “She killed Sharon and confessed everything about how and why she killed him.”

FEW DAYS BACK

AZHAGIYAMANDABAM MUSLIM ARTS AND SCIENCE COLLEGE

Trisha was studying 2^nd year M.A Literature in Azhagiyamandabam Muslim Arts and Science College. And Sharon was studying radiology at Neyyar Christian College. And both of them got into a relationship when they were going to college in the same bus. For almost, more than a year they have been in a very close relationship. Their friends said about them that: “Often they two will go on long drive in the bike.”

Though Trisha’s father worked in a hotel and made her to study, Trisha got 4^th rank in the university while she was studying BA. But after that, when she joined M.A. She was not studying properly. So her parents started to note her behavior and found that she was in a relationship with Sharon.

And there was a terrific opposition at Trisha’s house. So what Trisha said to her parents is, “That she will not speak to Sharon anymore.” She cuts all ties with him. Since it became a problem at home, they saw a military man and finished the engagement in February itself! So Trisha asked Sharon to break up with her.

But Sharon said that he will live only with her. Because of this, they were having a fight for the next few months. Then Trisha came up with another idea. She said to Sharon that she has a horoscope issues and according to that, whoever marry her first, will die within a few months after marriage. And only with her second husband, she can live happily.

She said like this to scare him and make him leave her. However Sharon, who has no faith in the horoscopes, said that he will marry her and see what happens to him. He took Trisha to the temple and put saffron on her forehead. (There are many photos of Trisha having saffron on her forehead in Sharon’s phone, which had been found by the police officers, while interrogating Trisha)

Not only that, there are photos of Trisha wearing nuptial chain on her neck. In May, when no one was there in Trisha’s house, Sharon who went to her house, married her at home. The same day in night, Sharon kissed Trisha’s lips passionately. Starting with the passionate kiss, he kissed her breast, hip, face and cheeks. Holding her chin up, he lingered around her and slowly removed her sari like sculpting a statute. Both of them had a passionate sex and spent the whole night together.

PRESENT

At present, Ramesh asked Trisha: “With this much love for Sharon, why the hell you killed him?”

With tears, she said: “He gave me a lot of pressure, sir.” When asked what kind of pressure, she didn’t say about that. For example like threaten her with their private photos and videos, Trisha didn’t tell the police anything like this.

OCTOBER 14, 2022

But many private photos of them was in Sharon’s mobile phone. In the fear, whether he may send these photos and videos to her fiancé, she decided to kill Sharon. In a thought of killing Sharon and removing him completely from her life, on October 14, Trisha called him to her house.

When Sharon went to toilet and returned, at that time, she mixed the poison in the potion. That’s when, when Sharon teased her, she used that chance, to challenge him and made him to drink it. At first, Sharon couldn’t drink in it. But the second time, he drunk it fully. Then she gave the Mango juice to remove the bitterness.

After leaving the house, when she came to know that Sharon was admitted at the hospital, she said: “Sorry, the mango juice which I gave has expired. That’s why you got vomit, and now you are sick.” Not only that, she further lied that: “The auto rickshaw driver who came to their house also drank the same mango juice that he drank.” And he also vomited and became sick.” Henceforth, he gets convinced with the fabricated story of Trisha.

When Sharon’s condition worsened in the hospital, Sharon’s family members came to know about the potion and the juice. They came to know this by checking Sharon’s Whatsapp chat. Even when Sharon is fighting for his life in the hospital, Trisha acted like she doesn’t know anything. She didn’t say what kind of Ayurvedic medicine she gave him.

When Sharon was fighting for his life in the hospital, Sharon’s brother Raghavan, an Ayurvedic doctor directly called Trisha and asked what Ayurvedic medicine she gave to Sharon. He begged her many times to tell him it’s name. But Trisha maintained that she doesn’t know about it and it’s name.

PRESENT

At present, Trisha said to the police and Ramesh: “Even if I had said that at last time, Raghavan could have saved Sharon’s life.” As she said so, Ramesh then asked her: “How you managed to maintain the same lie for weeks?”

FEW MONTHS BACK

As Raghavan have asked her for many times, Trisha downloaded an image of a bottle from the internet, and said that this was the Ayurvedic medicine that she gave him. But as a Ayurvedic doctor, he knew as soon as he saw it, that it was an ordinary drug, and it will not give side effect like this, so Trisha is lying.

Similarly, the local police couldn’t find the auto rickshaw driver. Besides on October 29, everyone was wrong to think that Sharon drank something mixed with acid. The forensic doctor said that it must be an insecticide. Because there is no trace or evidence that Sharon consumed acid. He said that this kind of blue colored vomit is caused by kidney and liver failure.

FEW WEEKS LATER

NOVEMBER 16 2022

Few weeks after the interrogation, Ramesh said in his investigation report that: “What this forensic doctor said was the main reason for them to suspect Trisha.”

“How you concluded this with the reports of Forensic reporter, Ramesh?” asked ADGP Ajith Kumar.

“Sir. Trisha had tried like this many times before. And every time after Sharon met Trisha, he had a vomiting sensation and even vomited sometimes. This was said by Sharon’s father Jayaraj. Why a engaged girl call his son to her home when no one is there? Likewise, the family know that Sharon is in love. And the family have repeatedly told him not to go for a meet with Trisha, sir. But their son didn’t listen them. At last, he is not with them. She planned perfectly and killed the poor man’s son sir.”

“Anyone else involved in this murder?” asked the ADGP to which Ramesh said: “Yes sir. Investigation is going on. And surely, Trisha’s mother and uncle must have involved in this murder. And they are the ones who destroyed all this evidence after the death of Sharon.” Pausing a second, Ramesh continued telling the ADGP: “After knowing that Sharon was dead, they suspected that Trisha was the reason for this. After that, they took the potion and medicine bottles from there and destroyed it.”

“So anything else there in this case?”

Ramesh felt emotional at the beginning as the ADGP asked this. Controlling his emotions, he said: “Yes sir. A general one by Sharon’s mother.” Searching for words, he told him: “She said Trisha has planned this whole thing by relying on her horoscope. She asked Sharon to marry her and solve her horoscope problem. She acted like she loved Sharon and killed him. According to her horoscopes, her husband will die within a few months after marriage. So to fulfill what’s there on her horoscope, she used her son. According to horoscope, she married her son and killed him, and planned to live happily with her second husband.” He further revealed another plan made up by Trisha on November 14^th.

NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Meanwhile when Trisha was brought for investigation, on Monday morning(November 14), when she was asked to get on the jeep to go from the police station to another place, she told the police that she needs to use the bathroom. So Trisha was taken to the bathroom by two lady police. After some time, when Trisha came out, she started to vomit when walking to the jeep.

PRESENT

“Trisha drank the Lizol which was in the bathroom. Immediately the police came to know that and took her to the hospital for treatment. Immediately Trisha’s stomach was cleaned. Now she became normal sir.” Ramesh said to the ADGP and added: “He himself knew this well as the information about this case may have been updated by his junior officers.”

After five minutes, Ramesh continued to add: “Sir. Actually, the police suspected that Trisha was trying to escape from the investigation. We suspended Gayathri and Suma, who had gone to the bathroom with Trisha.”

“Why have you suspended them?” This irritates and angered Ramesh. Yet, he controlled his anger and said: “Don’t know how you became a cop sir. Basically when a prisoner is asked to go to the bathroom, he or she must be taken to the bathroom which was already allotted and safe checked. But they took her to the outside bathroom. Not only that, they didn’t check what is inside the bathroom. And they even allowed Trisha to lock the door. So because of that only, Trisha got a chance to something like this sir. So they were suspended.”

After a while, Ramesh said: “Sir. My duty is over, I hope. If you permit, I will leave now.” As the ADGP granted permission, Ramesh saluted him and left the office. When opened the door to leave, ADGP asked him a last question: “Anything you wanted to tell for this youth generation through this case, Ramesh?”

Ramesh laughed and said: “No use of advising them in this social media era sir. Even if we advice them, they won’t listen. So, it’s better if we turn a blind eye to these things. Our duty is to just investigate the case and punish the culprits, involved in these crimes.”

Back to the house, Ramesh took his diary, in which he mentioned about so many cases, that he handles everyday in his life. Titling as The New Twist, he wrote: “Trisha is a very intelligent girl. She is a girl who likes watching horror movies too much. She knows how to behave to the police and how to behave in an interrogation, and what body language makes the police not to suspect her. She google searched everything. Accordingly to that, in the first phase of the police investigation, with no tension, she acted in a very casual manner. In the first two police interrogation, Trisha played tactfully and escaped. But on October 29, doctors found the traces of insecticides in the autopsy. That’s when the police had a team meeting with Ramesh and suspected that there was a possibility that Trisha was involved in this. So again, they investigated her. That’s how she was interrogated for 8 hours continuously on Sunday. At first she was inquired with her family and after that when she was inquired alone. At some stage, she was unable to answer the questions of the police. So she accepted that she killed him by using the pesticide which her uncle had for his farm and mixed it with the potion. The most heartbreaking thing in this is, When Sharon was in hospital and two days before he died, police got confession from him in-front of the magistrate. In that, do you have any doubts on someone? And even when they asked that who may poisoned him, he didn’t even spoke a word about Trisha. He didn’t even tell about his visit and Ayurvedic potion. He didn’t say anything till he died. He trusted and loved Greeshma that much. But he died without knowing that Trisha was the one who killed him.”

EPILOGUE

Nowadays, it has become very common to breakup and get into another relationship. But some boys and girls couldn’t accept it. There are some people who live with the memory of their loved ones. They were that possessive and loved. Please don’t leave them or breakup with them for silly reasons. If you are going to marry the person whom your parents tell, then why are you falling in love, you would have ben without falling in love. At least that boy will love someone and be at peace. Caste problem, status problem, parents not accepting, don’t you know all this before falling in love? You should think about this before falling in love. If you are committed, then it’s your duty to make your parents accept your love. And not to break up with your partner. Sharon doesn’t know that his lover was the one who killed him. These type of problems happens to boys equally to girls. In fact, it’s more for boys.
