THE MYSTERIOUS PACKAGE

It was the period, post lockdown, in CoVID conditions. Stage wise, the restrictions were getting relaxed. Still, daily there was something new information how CoVID spread, who is wrong, who is write, what are threats, etc..

That afternoon while I was enjoying a sweet post lunch sleep, and someone rang my doorbell. I was not expecting anybody so, ignored it considering diluson, but repeated ringing forced me to getup and open the door. 

By the time I reached to door the ringing had stopped and then I opened door and found a package was lying in front of my door. 

I was surprised to see the package, as I was not expecting any parcel or package to arrive. Out of curiosity, I was just about to take the package, suddenly the news which I read couple of days back, about mysterious packages infected with viruses being send by enemy nation strucked my mind.

Soon my curiosity turned into fear. Even with air-conditioning, my body was wet under perspiration. I was under dilemma as what to do? 

I then called upon police and reported the mysterious package. They initially ignored but then when I reminded them about the news they agreed to investigate.

Soon, a team of police with bomb squad and medical team reached my home. They thoroughly checked the package but found nothing abnormal from outside. The package was indeed addressed to me and finally, they decided to open the package.

When they open the package, we found some free sample bottles of FMCG products of a new company. Phew! It was scary but then mystery was not yet over. It was still a suspense as when not ordered why this was delivered?

The police inquired about this, with the company and they replied that indeed it was ordered by me. Now, all fiery eyes of police were towards me. And I stood clueless as how that can happen?

We then, further checked and finally the suspense was unearthed. What happened was that couple of days back my child was playing with my phone and unknowingly he ordered this. The auto fill up forms did the trick and now I was in a fix.

Somehow, I managed to get the case closed and finally got relief from the mystery with a big lesson learned!
