The Laugh Club
The Laugh Club
In the town of strawberry , everyone was serious. People frowned at the bus stop, frowned at the shop, even frowned while eating ice cream.
Then came Meera, a girl who laughed at the smallest things. If a dog sneezed, she laughed. If a fan made a funny sound, she laughed. Soon, people started calling her “The Laugh Club of One.”
One day, the mayor announced a contest: “Who can bring the most happiness to Strawberry?” Everyone tried—some gave speeches, some sang songs. But Meera simply stood on stage, tripped over her shoelace, and burst out laughing. The crowd laughed too.
She said:
“Life is heavy when you carry frowns. Drop them, and suddenly you can dance!”
The judges gave her the prize, but more importantly, the town changed. People began smiling at strangers, laughing at mistakes, and cheering each other up.
From then on, Sunberry was known as “The Town That Learned to Laugh.”
✨ Moral: A smile costs nothing, but it can change everything
