Inspector Imtiaz walked into Arjun’s cabin.

‘Sir, we got another important clue from this case. In the call list of Suresh, there is one person with the name Ranga who works as a peon for Dr MadhuSudhan the superintendent of APIMS. For the past week, we have been trying to reach him but he was out of the state. He went to Orissa to attend the wedding of one of his family members. He returned to his home today. Our constables are bringing him to the station.’

‘Good Job! I hope we can close the case today,’ Arjun said.

‘Sir, we have brought Ranga!’ The constable came and informed Imtiaz.

‘Let’s go and talk to him,’ Arjun said.

‘What is your relationship with Suresh? Why did you kill him?’ Arjun asked.

‘Sir, I didn’t know that he was killed. I don’t know much about him.’

‘Don’t act smart. Your number is present in his call list. If you tell us the truth, it will be good for you, else,’ Inspector Imtiaz rubbed his palms, ‘I hope you can understand’

‘Sir! He just gave me the money and asked me to insert some device into the computer. That’s it and nothing else,’ Ranga said.

‘So he has been following your boss? Don’t you feel ashamed of doing it?’ Arjun howled.

‘I got a bit greedy about money. Please forgive me,’ Ranga began crying, burying his face into his palms.

‘Shut up! How much did he give you?’

‘Ten thousand rupees.’

‘Why was he back of Dr MadhuSudhan? Is he committing anything wrong?’

‘Sir, I will tell you frankly. Dr MadhuSudhan committed a lot of scams in the hospital.’

‘Sir, Dr MadhuSudhan is arrested by the IT officials on charges of amassing a lot of wealth illegally.’

‘He is now the prime suspect in the murder of Suresh. Now we need to file a request to question him. It seems like Suresh has got to know some crucial information about Dr MadhuSudhan.’

‘Does it mean MadhuSudhan might have killed Suresh so that the truth will not come out? If that is the case then why didn’t he conceal all the evidence because he will be having a clue that there’s a chance of information being leaked? I see something bigger. Suresh might have used MadhuSudhan as a stone to get the fruit from the tree.’

‘Do you mean the murderer can be someone?’

‘See as per the witness account our suspect might be owning a luxurious car. If MadhuSudhan has a luxury car then we can confirm that he is the murderer. I will go and approach commissioner Anand. Meanwhile, you record the confession statement from Ranga.’

On the flip side, Dhyaneshwar was seated comfortably in his spacious air-conditioned cabin, located on the sixth floor, inside of the Magellanic Pharma formulation plant located on the outskirts of Hyderabad city. It's been three days since he arrived in India and he is still facing the issues in adjusting to the Indian timings.

Tring! Tring! The telephone on his desk rang.

‘Good morning, this is Dhyaneshwar,’ Dhyaneshwar casually spoke on the telephone.

‘Dad where are you?’ It was Rajath on the other side and he was panting while speaking.

‘I am here inside of the plant but what happened? You seem to be worried. Is everything okay?’ Dhayneshwar asked, sensing the trepidation in his tone.

‘Dad please come to my office immediately. Fast! Please! Don't ask me anything now,’ Rajath said and disconnected the call.

‘What happened to him?’ Dhyaneshwar thought. He then called his driver Mallesh and summoned him to bring his car and started to the corporate office in Begumpet. It took ninety minutes to reach the office. He got down the car and straightaway made himself into Rajath's cabin. Rajath was seated with his hands buried in his hands.

‘Rajath!’ Dhyaneshwar said as he entered Rajath's cabin. ‘Why did you ask me to meet all of a sudden?’

Rajath got up from his seat and parked himself three feet away from his father. Beads of perspiration started getting surfaced on his face and his heart began racing faster. With the arrest of Dr MadhuSudhan, his life had come to greater risk and he was left with no other option except to confess everything to his father who is a very good troubleshooter.

‘Dad,’ he said, taking his eyes away from him. He was struggling to make the sentences. ‘I am sorry, I made a mistake.’

‘What kind of mistake? Rajath tell me what did you do? For the past few days, you weren't feeling good at all. I thought maybe you are not feeling well,’ Dhyaneshwar demanded, taking a step forward and narrowing his eyes at Rajath.

‘Dad, you are aware that three months ago we made a deal with Clarus Adepto Life Sciences company.’

‘Yes I am aware of it and you really did a good job. It's worth a five thousand crores contract. But what is the matter and why are you sweating? You really did an amazing job.’

‘Dad, actually they have formulated a new drug to cure terminal depression but they need to perform clinical trials before going for the approval. They said if we can help them in performing clinical trials, they will make it easy for us to step into the European Market and promised us a fifty per cent stake in profits.’

‘So, what did you do?’

‘With the help of APIMS superintendent, we performed clinical trials on five terminally insane patients.’

‘What?! You bloody fool! Why did you do that without informing me?’ Dhyaneshwar yelled. In the spur of the moment, he picked up the blue crystal paperweight on the desk and thrashed it on the floor. He threw with such an intensity that the crystal split into two and bounced to the level of his knees. ‘I told you many times not to do anything without consulting me. You have put me in very big trouble.’

‘Dad, I also made another mistake. I made an agreement with many doctors across three states to prescribe our medicines for the patients and in return, we would pay them a commission. I thought we would be making a large sum of money. Madhusudan is also involved in this. If he opens my name then everything will be finished.’

‘Idiot! I made a big mistake in putting you into this position. I have ousted Vijay so that he won’t be a pain in our neck.’

‘Also I have to tell you one more thing.’

‘What again?’

‘A journalist with the name Suresh from HBN-7 Channel got to know everything about this. He came to my office and demanded ten crore rupees to keep his mouth shut. I actually killed him!’

‘Tell me exactly what happened on that day?’
