Swami Vivekananda was a voracious and outstanding orator and reader. While his stay in Chicago, he used to go to the library and borrow large volumes of books at a time and then used to return them back to the librarian in only a days' time!

The librarian could not understand as to why did he take so many books and then return all of them in only one day!

She decided to ask Swami Vivekananda directly about this. On being thus questioned by the librarian, Swami Vivekananda said that he had finished reading all the books. Hence he returned them back!

This answer annoyed the already bewildered lady librarian. She said she would take a test and selected a random page from a book and asked him to tell what was written there!

Without even a glance at the book he repeated the lines exactly as they were written on it!

The librarian asked Swami Vivekananda several more questions and the later answered all of them without any flaw!
