Strangers? Strangers.

"Why is it that everytime I try to move on, he looks at me with his stupidly magnificent eyes and changes my mind?", Rose blurted out for the 115th time!

I honestly can't think of anything reasonable but I gotta say something to comfort her.

"That's cuz you're not actually ready to move on darling, you still love him, don't you?". 

Judging by Rose's reaction, I can tell my words were like a bee's sting to her delicate heart.

"How did you move on then? Hadn't you loved that boy so much? Wasn't it hard for you?", a very curious Rose inquires. 

"Woah, chill with your questions girl!", I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Haha, sorry"

"You know, moving on is not easy. It takes a lot of courage to let go of the person you once loved dearly but if there's something I've learned then it is that you need to accept reality for what it is and not what you wish it'd be."

"That sounds tough. I honestly feel a little sad for you but deep down, you definitely deserve better."

"Mhmm."

"Can I ask you something?", Rose looks at me with curiosity beaming in her eyes.

"Yeah?"

"Does it not get awkward between you two? Considering the fact you don't have a choice but see each other's face every day."

" Awkward? There are times when I've caught him looking at me and--- "

" Hold on, if you guys don't talk to each other then why does he look at you so often?", she asks.

"That's a question I don't have an answer to and neither do I wanna find out. Speaking of which, you and Kyle are no less huh. You guys are a bunch of sneak peeks! "

" Yeah, I know. But what's the point of staring so much though? It's not like he's ever gonna talk to me again."

"He must have his reasons. But that doesn't change the fact that he still cares about you. It's seen in his eyes", I argue.

"Yet, he's never going to talk to me. I have lost him forever and he's never coming back", Rose fights back.

"Rose, you don't get to decide that. You never know what time holds for both of you. You guys are just the right people who met at the wrong time. And one day, when the time is right, you'll find each other again."

I do mean it, I really do. I don't wanna get her hopes up but it's hard to see her so miserable. I've been through unrequited love but it's probably worse to see two people madly in love with each other and yet can't be together. 

"What if Kyle and I end up like you and him? What if we become enemies?!"

" I think by enemies you mean friends who end up complicated?", I can't help but be sarcastic.

"What are you guys then? Strangers?", Rose urges.

"Strangers...", I let out a smile.

"We're neither friends nor enemies, just strangers with some memories".
