Every other person may have a different sales skill which helps one more than any skill. It could be hard for him to teach someone. Some skills could be taught easily. I was taught one skill by a cart shopkeeper which always help me in the sales profession.

There is a myth in my opinion in the profession of sales, It is said," without telling lie, calling is not possible." I also found it very useful initially. No sooner I realise, to sell something to prospect only once. It's useful but I would not retain my customers because I was only trying to tell what a prospect wants to listen to. I enjoyed a few days then bored early by this technique cause it doesn't suit my personality. What was also shown in my performance from the line chart which drastically tended to come downwards?

By the time when I believed, sales is not the cup of my tea. I was about to change my profession. One sunny day, long face, I sat tea shop, not a shop actually it was a cart of tea and coffee. They provided wood stools to his customer. I ordered a cup of tea, shopkeeper questioned me, special or normal? Before answering I asked, what is the difference between? He answered, 'I mix one-litre water in one litter milk in normal tea and half litter in special.'


I cried, 'why are you saying the truth. You should lie if you want to sell some extra cups of teas. By the way, give my normal cutting.

He asked me again why did you order me while I spoke the truth. I was speechless. He continued,' sahab- Every person eat Roti most of the people already know the truth, it depends on us how can we win their trust. Truth is the best policy to win the trust of prospects. Once we win the trust then the prospect doesn't buy your product He would buy over your trust.

From that day I changed my strategy, I thought, I should spend one more month with the same strategy. What was sharply clear:-

1. I won't lie in any condition.

2. Collect every possible information about the prospect before pitching.

3. I will talk about USP{unique selling point} about products according to different strategies for each customer.

4. I will talk only about positive things and with their trust. From the day, I took 3 months to become beat saler of the month In the company.
