My FIRST CAKE

The day is so awesome because for the first time I’m going to learn baking from my aunt. Since it is a lockdown, I opened up the Skype and turned on the video to see her bake the cake. I took all the ingredients needed for making a basic simple vanilla cake. I have never tried a cake before. My aunt is an excellent baker.

“Hi, sweetie,”

“Hi, auntie, good to see you”

“got your ingredients”

“Yes”

I replied and she started the baking. I followed her lead. First I preheated the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Then I greased a 9x9 inch pan.

In a medium bowl, I whipped together the sugar and butter, Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stirred in the vanilla. I combined flour and baking powder and added to the creamed mixture and mixed well. Finally, I stirred in the milk until the batter is smooth. The batter was ready. I poured the batter into the prepared pan.

I baked for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. And when the time’s up, I was amazed to see a perfect vanilla cake. I showed my auntie, she also showed me the cake she baked. The day was an amazing baking day and I baked my first cake, thanks to my genius auntie.
