KING AND THE KINGDOM

Once there was a king. His kingdom Mahesmati was very prosperous and people were living happily in his kingdom. One day as he was sitting in the balcony of his palace, a thought came to his mind that why not increase the territory of the kingdom. In a few days, a big army was organized by his generals and thousands of young soldiers were recruited. The army had hundreds of elephants and horses too.

The army invaded the neighbouring kingdom. The king of that kingdom was taken by surprise. However, he was a wise king and he had made prior preparations for any emergency situation like this .his army was small as compared to the opposite army but they fought with bravery and soon have the upper hand.

The king of Maheshmati had to flee for his life. Hundreds and thousands of his soldier dyed protecting him. King of another kingdom also killed his elephant and one of the generals had to take him on his horse to save his life. The opposite army followed him into the jungle and also wounded the horse but he was able to give them a slip. The horse later died .the general who saved him also died after few days due to injuries sustained in the battle .the king was now alone in the jungle as all his kingdom was now taken by the other king.

Now all alone he has the time to think why he wazed a war and devasted a happy and prosperous country.but now nothing could have been done...

Game of chess is also like that where pawns like people, soldiers like knights, bishops and rooks like horses and elephants, get killed just to save the king and result is just that one king loses other wins.

And this is what happens when countries fight a war, except a few persons every one loses.
