Once, when Hanuman was in search of Devi Sita in Sri Lanka, he had a good lesson to teach one of the people there. Hanuman, the devotee of Lord Ram went in search of Devi Sita. After searching for two days, he was exhausted and went to have some water from the river bank. That time, one of the ladies saw him and approached him. Hanuman had a look at her. She lived in a hut nearby the river bank. Who are you? She asked him.

Hanuman gave silence as his answer.

Now, her brain started to think deeper.

In order to distract her from thinking further, he said, actually, I wanted to get the diamond filled treasure box here.

She was amazed and asked,

Oh really! Are you sure?

Hanuman made a nod, Yes!

Now, she was flying high with happiness.

Okay, Give me half, and I will let you go.

Or else, I will inform about you to the King.

Hanuman acted as if he was frightened and agreed to her deal.

Hanuman and the lady search inside the river and found the treasure box. Now, they took it to the river bank and opened it. To her amazement, the box was filled with diamonds. Hanuman took half of it and when he was about to go, she held her sword on his neck and said, Leave your share here or you'll be put to death. Now, Hanuman was thrilled and kept his smile behind. He asked, Deal is deal. You can't change it. The lady gave a wild laugh.

Hanuman let her laugh and said,

Okay have it and I will have the treasures from the river. Now all her smiles fader away and looked at him in shock.

What? She asked with shock.

She now fled into the river and started to search. Just then when she was in the middle of the river searching for treasure, Hanuman made the river water level increase and made her drown into it. She was suffering. And he said, Those who are greedy will be drowned and those who never keep promises will be burnt down to ashes. He said with anger. And then He fled away in search of Devi Sita.
