Guilty

"Hey Ayushi, what are you doing?"

 "Listen I will call you in some time...Bye."

"Hey, are you busy somewhere?"

"Come to my home right now I will tell you."

"Is everything alright?"

"Ya. Please do come."

"Ok."

Doorbell rings.

 I visited her home.

"Hello, my dear."

"Hey... I was waiting for you."

"Why had you called me to come home??"

"I was watching web series..."

"So.."

"I watched the ' Guilty'. I wanted you to watch it, with me...You know what, I loved it. Specially Kiara Advani's acting...It was brilliant...."

She kept going on.

"Have you ever felt guilty about anything??"

 I don't know from where that question came into my mind...

"What?"

"Have you ever felt guilty about anything ?"

"Yeah ...A lot of."

"So tell me na."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah."

"I do feel guilty about a lot of things. You know, I was a studious child. I love books. Even I do keep them carefully with me, I treated them as my friends. I wad 22 when I lost it. I couldn't save my bundle of books."

She sobbed.

"Hey, calm down.

I didn't mean to hurt you. But, can you tell me what happened?"

"I was in college.. when I came home, I saw my room was empty. I asked my mom. She told me that my dad had given those books to spend scrap merchants. They weighed 15 Kg and my father got some bucks for it. I fought with my mom, dad."

"Then?"

"I even went to that scrap merchant. But I lost those precious things forever...

I would always feel guilty about it. I wish I could just lock that carton...It would have been with me.

 I had tried several ways to forget this incident and you took me there, back to 5 years old experience..."

"I am sorry."

"Since then, I am afraid to make them my friends, again.. I fell like I would lose it, again."
