Blind Mother

No...no....no. You must be thinking that the mother is blind. Ya, she is blind but she could see. I am sure, you all wanna know what's the actual matter.

Well, I am Priyanka. Your today's narrator and protagonist's daughter.

This story belongs to me, my mother, my brother.

This story begins with me, maa and Arjun, my brother.

Again, we had a fight. The same reason, Arjun humiliated all of us.

This all started when we were kids. He was pampered because he was a boy.

Although, I was given freedom, more than my cousin's got and more than my relative's expectation. But still, as we were growing, he was getting dominated, over me, over mom dad.

He was getting aggressive day by day, maybe due to hormones or atmosphere or friend circle.

I had seen so many instances, I ignored, but he was crossing his limits every single day.

Even, before the onset of his extensive rudeness, I warned my parents that he will throw them out of their own house one day...if that continues.

But, nobody understood me... Eventually, with time, my father got a bit of my idea....but my mother used to refuse it.

Even he tried to make my mother understand but she didn't listen to anyone.

Every time, she had not a thing to say "Why are you comparing yourself with him. He is a boy. You can't match up to him. Just leave it. Don't cast an evil eye on him."

When my father tried, she made him silent, "You just believe your daughter. Don't you believe our son?"

Every time, I broke, a bit more. I know what was going to happen..but was helpless. I want to help them because I couldn't see them in pain. But, it was the pain they earned themselves...

And then, I am here, in front of all of you, narrating this story. It's been two years...since my warning came true. He sent them to Old Age home. But, I m happy, my parents are with me. I m still trying to prove my mother that I can do better than my brother...

My mother wasn't blind...but she couldn't saw beyond her motherly love for her son.
