Aur Phir Hera PherI

Kumar is leaning dangerously over the side of the bridge with his right hand out stretched and fingers straining to get to the antique guns tied up in the cloth and hanging from the pole . The mobile phone is continuously ringing in the car but kumar is unable to hear it over the fast currents of the river below. He pulls himself back on to the road to take a deep breath when he hears the phone ringing. He curses .

Kumar : why can’t people leave me in peace ? and just when I want to do something people are always trying to get to me .

Kumar opens the door of the car and picks up the phone . on the other side he hears the excited voice of Shetty .

Shetty: kumar down throw the antique guns in the sea . The guns are worth a fortune .Bring them back right away .

Kumar : [ calmly ] first you tell me to throw the guns in the sea and then you call me and say not to throw them when it is too late .

Shetty : [ he turns towards Rawal and wails ] he has thrown the guns in the sea already .

Rawal : [ shakes his head and runs his hand over his head ] why can’t he do anything right ? why could he not pick up the phone earlier ? now he has just thrown our destiny and fortune into the sea . now all is lost and we are paupers again.

Kumar : if you want me to bring the guns back just say so and stop wailing.

Shetty : you mean you have not thrown the guns yet .

Kumar : well in a way no . they are still hanging from the pole only I can’t reach the pole.

Rawal who is also listening to the phone screams into the phone to kumar

Rawal : even if you have to jump into the sea and drown while getting those guns do it but get those guns back at any cost.

Kumar shakes his head and throws the mobile on the seat of the car and goes back to the railing of the bridge . He put his one foot over the railing and stretches himself as far as he could to reach to the guns . in his quest to grab the guns he reaches out too far over the railing and falls straight down into the water with the guns clinched into his hand . As he falls into the water he starts screaming and calling for help and thrashes his hands in the water .

Kumar : help me I am drowning . help me some one . pull me out .

Passer by : why are you screaming you idiot ? you are standing in 4 feet of water and thrashing your hands in the water like a mad man . just wade out of the water .

Kumar looks around himself and finds himself   standing in the water and says

Kumar : I work for a theater group I was just practicing my dialogues .

[ and wades out of the water and walks over to the side of the bridge and then on to his car ]

Kumar reaches his friends Shetty and Rawal and hand over the guns to then . Rawal snatches the guns from kumar and says

Rawal : I am not going to let these guns out of my sight .[ and holds the guns close to his chest .]

Shetty notices that kumar is wet from head to toe and asks him.

Shetty : why are you wet ? it is not even raining .

Kumar : I just tool my bath in the sea .

Shetty : with your clothes on .

Kumar : [ getting irritated ] so I wanted to wash my clothes as well . you mind your own business .

Shetty : when will learn to do something right .

Rawal breaks in and says

Rawal : we need to call Pran right away and tell him we have the antique guns with us and we want to trade them as soon as possible .

Shetty dials the number of Pran from the mobile .

Shetty : we have the antique guns that you were looking for and we know that the price for the guns is 1 crore each . so when you have the money you can have the guns .

Pran : how do I know that you have the same guns I am looking for ?

Shetty : because we are telling you . besides you will pay us only after you have the guns in front of you . so get the money ready and we will get the guns.

Pran : contact me after 2 days after if get in touch with my NRI contact .

2 days later Pran call Shetty and tells him that his NRI contact is coming to India with the money and he should get the guns to his den . Shetty agrees.

Ajit the NRI buyer of the guns arrives at the Mumbai international airport . At the airport he is received by Pran . Ajit and Pran hug each other .

Ajit : you have the guns .

Pran : You have the money .

Ajit: don’t worry about the money . the guns have great sentimental value for me. Take me to them as soon as possible .

Pran and Ajit both come out of the airport . Get into the car and go away .

Pran calls shetty and tells him

Pran : bring the guns your money is ready .

The trio Shetty , Kumar and Rawal hail a taxi and go to the den of Pran .

Rawal :[ whispers ] we don’t have any money how will we pay for this taxi.

Kumar : [ slaps his head ] after the deal we will be very rich and we can buy this taxi . you just sit back and shut up . leave everything to us .

The trio reach the den of Pran and get out of the taxi and start to walk away . the taxi driver shouts at them

Taxi Driver : you have to pay me .

Rawal : you just wait here for 10 minutes and we will come back and buy your taxi .

Shetty : [ pushing Rawal away from the taxi driver ] we are coming back in 10 minutes . wait here for us .

The trio are ushered into the main room of Pran where Ajit is sitting next to a table . On a table are 3 briefcases . Pran is oiling his moustache . on seeing the trio he smiles and ask.

Pran : have you got the guns ?

Kumar : have you got the money .

Ajit rises from his seat and throws open the lid of the brief cases . inside the briefcases are neatly stacked 1000 rupee notes .

Ajit : there is 1 crorer in each brief case .

Rawal on seeing the money could not contain himself and falls on the ground and kisses the hand of Pran.

Rawal : when god give he opens the sky for you .

Pran smiles and gestures his henchman to close the briefcases . the henchman closes the brief cases

Rawal : [ still on his knees ] don not close the briefcases . I just love the smell of money .

Pran : [ stretch his hand ] the guns .

Shetty hand the guns over to Ajit .

Ajit : now to make sure whether they are the real ones.

Ajit takes the guns and puts them down on the table he holds one gun high above his head and smashes the gun down hard on the table butt first. the wooden gun splits into two . Everyone is flabbergasted by this action of Ajit and they just open their mouths in disbelief . Pran protests

Pran : what are you doing ? you have broken the gun.

Ajit calmly look at Pran and takes the second gun and breaks it and then breaks the third gun as well .

Ajit : just checking whether they are real .

Pran : you don’t have to break them to check whether are real .

Ajit : with these, this is the only way .

Ajit then turns towards the splinters of the broken guns and shakes them . from all 3 of the guns 3 bright red rubies pop out . he then snaps the butt open and takes out the 3 old papers from the butt of the guns and place the papers next to each other forming an old treasure map.

Everyone in the room looks at the map and says it look like the treasure map.

Ajit : your treasure is here right in these briefcases . this treasure is only make belief until it is found .

Ajit quickly puts the map and the three rubies in his pocket . he then takes out a key from his pocket and locks the three briefcases . he gestures to one of the henchman to come to him . the henchman goes up to Ajit . Ajit Pulls his pants and drops the key in his underwear .

Ajit : this is the key to your treasure . and now I will take my leave .

Ajit salutes Pran then quickly turns on his heels and rushes out of the door of the room .

Kumar : what is the rush with him . now that he has got his treasure he should take it easy .

Ajit hurriedly comes out of the den of Pran and sees the taxi in which the trio has come . he quickly gets into the taxi and tell him

Ajit : take me to Bandra as quickly as possible

Taxi driver : I am waiting for some passenger and they have not paid me the fare yet.

Ajit takes out a 1000 rupee note and tosses it the front seat of the driver.

Ajit : this takes care of the passengers fare . now hurry . get me out of here.

The taxi driver looks at the money and speeds away .

Meanwhile inside the den of Pran. The henchman is fumbling for the key of the briefcases inside his pants but is unable to find . Pran gets impatient and shouts

Pran : jump you idiot . the key will fall on the ground.

The henchman jumps but the key still does not fall to the ground .

Pran : take off your pants .

The henchman takes off his pants and dust it violently on the ground but the key is still nowhere to be found. The henchman stretches his underwear and peeps inside it and then gestures by shaking his head there is no key anywhere.

Pran : what did you do with the key .

Henchman : I did nothing . I am just standing here in front of everyone .

Kumar : did Ajit really put the key in his pants . he was in a real hurry to leave . He may have done the vanishing magic trick with the key .

Pran take a revolver and smashes the butt of the gun on the lock of the briefcases and breaks open the locks.

Rawal : [ raises both his hands above his head ] our money [ and moves towards the briefcases ]

He is pushed back by the henchman. Pran takes out 3 bundles and tosses them 1 each to Kumar , Shetty and Rawal .Kumar protests

Kumar : the guns are worth 1 crore each and you are just giving us 1 lac each.

Pran : you are lucky that I am giving you 1 lac each because I am in a good mood otherwise I would have given you only ten thousand . now be happy what you got and get lost .

Shetty is leafing through his bundle when he lets out a wail .

Shetty : these notes are fake . only the top one is real the rest are just tissue paper .

Rawal holds his head with booth hands and falls to the ground and wails all is lost . Pran quickly goes thru some more wads of the notes and finds that only the top note is real and the notes below the top note in the wad are just plain papers .he shouts at the top of his voice

Pran : Ajit has made a fool of us .[ he turns to his henchman ] go out quickly get him .

All the henchmen rush out of the room followed by Pran .they all get into their car and race around in Mumbai looking for Ajit

Kumar busies himself by taking out the 1^st 1000 note from each wad .

Shetty : what are you doing ?

Kumar : can’t you see I am taking out only the real money left here.

Rawal : he is just grabbing for the underwear of the thief when the thief has fled with everything else.

Shetty : let us not waste time and go out and look for Ajit.

Rawal : [ with helplessness in his tone ] where will we find him in this big city .

Kumar : I have got all the 1000 notes . it must be more than three lac rupees .

Shetty , Rawal and Kumar come out of the den of Pran and look for their Taxi ; on not finding it Rawal says.

Rawal :he even took our taxi . now we will have to walk all the way to our hut.

Kumar  : let us take a three wheeler and go to yum yum hotel and spend some good time there .

Shetty : I am not going there .you just want to see a call girl there .

Rawal : I am too old for all this .

Kumar : come on don’t be a spoil sport . we will go there and see some belly dance and drink some and forget our sorrows .

Reluctantly shetty and Rawal agree and they hire a auto and all go to the yum yum hotel.

On reaching there they see the same taxi driver who had taken them to the den of Pran. Rawal confronts the taxi driver .

Rawal : why did you leave us there without telling us.

Taxi driver : a passenger paid me 1000 rupees to bring him here .

Shetty :is the passenger you brought here of tall height has scrawny face as if he is a drug addict .

Taxi driver : yes . he pays very well .

The trio clap their hands and say he is here .

Kumar : now we have to be very careful if we have to catch him .

Shetty : let us go inside the hotel and find out which room he is staying in .

The trio goes inside the hotel and at the reception Rawal asks the receptionist

Rawal : what room is Ajit staying ?

Receptionist : room no. 207.

The trio thank the receptionist and go over to the room no.207.

Meanwhile in room 207 Ajit is enjoying himself in the company of Claudia a call girl who is dancing sensuously for Ajit on the song that is playing on the TV in the room.

The trio listen to the song standing outside the door and taking turns peep thru the key hole .

Kumar : see did I not tell you we will enjoy coming here . but you don’t listen to me at all.

Shetty softly knocks on the door and says room service .

Claudia opens the door an the trio bursts into the room and exclaims on seeing Ajit “look who we found with his pants down”. Ajit rushes back to his coat by diving on to the bed and quickly takes out his gun and threatens the trio.

Ajit : back off . if any of you try anything foolish I will not hesitate to shoot .

Shetty : first you take our treasure map worth 100 corers and now you threaten to kill us .

In the confusion everyone has ignored Claudia who has worked her way behind Ajit . she picks up a flower pot and smashes it on the head of Ajit . Ajit fall on the floor unconscious . the trio look at the still form of Ajit on the ground and then at Claudia.

Claudia: is it true he has a treasure map worth 100 corers .

Kumar : well if we find any treasure out of it only then.

Shetty rushes to the side of the bed and goes thru the pockets of Ajit . he takes out the treasure map and the 3 red rubies .On seeing the rubies Claudia says the diamonds are my cut for helping you get at the treasure map .

Rawal : we well sell the rubies and what ever money we get we will split it 4 ways

Claudia : fair enough and what about the treasure map.

Shetty : we do not know what to make of it yet . but if we find the treasurer we will share it with you if you will help us.

Claudia : how do you want my help

Kumar : by taking us to your house and letting us stay there and give us food , we haven’t eaten properly for 5 days and also letting us take our bath .

Claudia : I did not know that the treasure hunters for 100 crore were homeless paupers .But if there is any truth about the treasure map I will take that chance.

Rawal : let us get out of here before anyone else comes here.

All 4 of them rush out of the hotel . as they pass the taxi driver . Kumar gives him 1000 rupee note and tells him that your passenger has asked you to leave .the taxi driver take the money and leaves .

Shetty tries to hail a taxi but is unable to find a taxi on the road .

Shetty : there are no taxis on the road here .

Claudia : we can take a lift.

Kumar : who will give us lift.

Claudia raises her skirt and shows her thumb as a gesture for lift . and 5 cars come screeching to a halt . Claudia opens the door of the nearest car and says to the trio “coming”. Speechless the trio rush to get into the waiting car and are sped away to the house of Claudia.

Meanwhile Pran and his henchmen are roaming the roads of Mumbai looking for Ajit but are unable to find any trace of him. In the yum yum hotel room Ajit comes around and stumbles out of his room and the hotel in his underwear holding his head .Pran passes by the gate of yum yum hotel and see the glimpse of Ajit . He orders the car to the stop and quickly reverses the car to the gate of the yum yum hotel . Pran get out of his car and smiles at himself on seeing Ajit .

Pran : you thought you could get away from us . it is not so easy to cheat Pran.

On seeing Pran standing in front of him , Ajit turns on his heels and tries to get back into the hotel . he is quickly overpowered by the hench men of Pran and lifted off his feet and carried head first in to the waiting car of pran . Pran and all his henchmen get into the car and drive away.

At the den of Pran; Ajit is stripped down to his underwear and slapped repeatedly . Ajit starts crying and pleads that he does not have the treasure map or the rubies with him anymore as the same was stolen from him by the trio in the hotel. Pran get angry and ask his henchman .

Pran : go find those 3 and throw them at my feet .

Henchman : those 3 are homeless and penniless where do we look for them.

Ajit : the girl I was with in the hotel hit me from behind and when I came around all of them were gone.

Pran : who was the girl you were with.

Ajit : she was a call girl and I picked her up in the hotel lobby .

Pran : that hotel is run by Pia . she will know who was the girl that was with you.

Pran and Ajit and all the henchman get into the car and rush to the yum yum hotel . on reaching the hotel Pran throws the door of Pia’s room open violently , so much so that the door breaks into 2 peaces .Pia looks at Pran calmly and ask him

Pia : what is stolen from you ? that you are in such a hurry .

Pran catches hold Ajit by his collar and brings him forward and says

Pran : He was robbed in your hotel by a call girl. We want to know who the girl was.

Pia :[ looking at Ajit ] He himself looks like his has stolen from someone , so how can he be robbed.

Pran : I don’t have time for arguments , I just need to know which girl he was with .

Pia : even if I tell you what you want , what is in it for me?

Pran angrily takes out his gun and fires at the ceiling . a chunk of concrete is dislodged from the ceiling and fall on the head of one of the henchman and he fall on the ground unconscious. Pia gets up from her chair and walks and looks in to the eyes of Pran

Pia: I am not scared of you , every man in my hotel also packs a gun and I hope you don’t want a gun battle here . so you better tell me why do you want this girl ?

Pran : [ takes a deep breath ] well she may know about the treasure map , which was taken by her 3 accomplice .

On hearing this Pia laugh and says

Pia : you don’t believe in any treasure map mumbo jumbo , that happens only in the movies .

Ajit : it is no laughing matter this treasure map is for real . and if we can read the treasure map we can find the treasure .

Pran looks at Ajit in a surprised way and ask

Pran : what do you mean if someone can read the map ?

Ajit : it is treasure map not a English language course book . you need an IQ to understand the treasure map.

Pia : I also want to join in this treasure hunt and want to have fun if nothing else.

Pia rings the bell on her table . the receptionist come in and Pia asks her .

Pia : [ pointing towards Ajit ] who was with this joker today .

Receptionist : Claudia the new girl.she stays in Andheri.

Pran : [ grabbing Ajit by his collar ] lets go.

Pia : not so fast . not without me. I want the peace of action as well .

Everyone comes out of the hotel and head for the house of Claudia.

Meanwhile at Claudia house , they have pieced together the treasure map and are pondering what to make of it . suddenly Rawal exclaims .

Rawal : I know this place this is the map of Mumbai .

Shetty and Kumar look at Rawal and say we know it is the map of Mumbai but what part of Mumbai we do not know. After holding the map from all the directions all four of them decide to take a break and go out for coffee.

Rawal : I am staying at home and take a good bath . it has been long since I had a good bath . now the only time I take a bath is when I get drenched in rain.

Kumar : ok you take your bath and don’t open the door for anyone .

Rawal : not even for you all.

Kumar : [ screaming ] I meant for outsiders , not for us.

Rawal : how will I know it is you.

Kumar : we will scream from outside the door that it is us . you are just too much . just look thru the peep hole in the door .

Rawal : ok now all of you just get out . I am going in the bathroom.

Kumar , Shetty and Claudia leave the building and just as they leave; Pia, Pran and his henchmen enter the building . they climb to the 2nd floor flat of Claudia . Pran stands in front of the door and says we will have to break open the door . Pia brushes aside Pran and says

Pia : did no one teach you any manners . don’t you know how to knock first

As Pia knocks on the door , the door opens by itself

Pia : there , it was not even closed .

All of them go inside the apartment . they hear the sound of Rawal singing in the bathroom . Pran puts his finger to his lips and slowly walks towards the bathroom door and quietly open the door and see Rawal covered in soap taking his bath. Pran walks upto Rawal and taps on his shoulder .Rawal screams .

Rawal : who is it ? can’t you see a man is taking his bath .

As Rawal washes his face he sees Pran and turns his face towards the bathroom wall .

The henchmen pickup Rawal and take him out of the bathroom and throw him on to the sofa of the living room . Pran takes out his gun and impatiently ask Rawal .

Pran : where is the map .

Rawal : I don not know anything about the map . they just left me here and left .

Pia : [ looking at Pran ] don’t waste time here . just take him to your den and leave the message for others . if they want to see their friends alive they will have to come to your den along with the map.

Pran gestures his men to take Rawal with them . the henchmen lift Rawal still in his towel and carry him out of the door.

Shetty , Kumar and Claudia return back to the apartment and see the door open . all three rush in and call out for Rawal . Claudia points at the note on the table and reads it out to Shetty and Kumar . the message reads      “ Bring the Map and get your friend or forget him forever”

Kumar sits down on the sofa with his hand on his head and says aloud

Kumar : why does this only happen to us ? when we have everything going for us , everything is taken away from us.

Shetty : we must hurry back to Pran before he hurts Rawal .

Kumar : [ angrily ] let him kill Rawal if he wants to . Let us find the treasure and live our lives peacefully forever . we will forget Rawal very quickly once we find the treasure .

Shetty : what if we don’t find the treasure ? then what . now stop this nonsense and let us go and get Rawal released .

Claudia : I have waited all my life to have some money and I do not want to rush into going at Pran den to get your friend released . let us find the treasure first then we will buy the freedom of your friend from Pran.

Kumar : you know she is talking sense.

Shetty : if you find the treasure you will all run away and poor Rawal will be killed by Pran and I can’t let this happen .

Kumar : by the way where is the map .

Shetty : I knew something of this will happen so I hid the map .

Claudia : where

Shetty : that I will only tell at the den of Pran and get Rawal released.

Kumar : I can trust you to spoil everything for all of us , I knew that , now let us go to Pran’s place and get over with it .

Kumar , Shetty and Claudia reach the den of Pran and are ushered into his room.

They see Rawal sitting on the floor in his towel and pressing the legs of Pran .

Pran : so you got the map.

Kumar : [ pointing towards Shetty ] he hid the map and will tell you only after you release Rawal .

Pran take out a gun and points at the head of Rawal and says

Pran : the map or I will release him forever .

Shetty : [ holds up his hands ] relax . the map is in my back pocket .

Shetty reaches into his back pocket and takes out the map and hands it over to Pran.

Pran takes the map and kicks Rawal away from him and says

Pran : now take this idiot out of my sight and the three of you - I don’t ever want to see you ever again in my life .

The trio nod and start to turn around towards the door when Pia breaks in and says.

Pia : treasure maps are not easy to read and we need some educated people to help us out . [ pointing at Shetty and Kumar ] you two are you educated .

Kumar : yes we are graduates .

Pia : ok take this map and tell us what you make of it .[ takes the map from the hand of Pran and spreads on the table next to Pran .Shetty and Kumar walk over to the map and look intensely at it .

Kumar : this is the map of Mumbai .

Pia : what else .

Claudia points at the point on the map and says that the arrow is pointing at the public park in Bandra and she has been to this park may times .

Pran : where in the park is the treasure buried . we just can’t go digging up the whole park .

Shetty : there are 3 pipal trees here and a parrot is drawn on top on the trees and dropping a diamond over a hole in these trees . so it may seem that the treasure is buried somewhere near these pipal trees.

Pran : [ bends over and takes a look at the map and then oils his moustache ] well done . now get out.

The trio protest you just can’t throw us out . Pia says

Pia : we will need extra hands to find the treasure so let keep them with us

Pran looks at Pia and says ok.

Henchman : but boss how will we go digging in a public park with so many people looking at us .

Claudia : we will go dressed as municipal corporation workers and will say that we are digging for a new water pipe line .

Pran : [ grins ] that is a great idea . let us all get ready first thing in the morning.

The next morning all the henchman of Pran along with Pia , Shetty, Kumar, Rawal & Claudia all dressed as municipal corporation workers go to the public park. They put up signs around the 3 pipal trees ‘men at work’ and start digging . after digging for some time Claudia pulls Kumar to her side and whispers 

Claudia : may be the treasure in up in the tree and not buried in the ground .

Kumar : how can you have the treasure hanging from a tree . won’t it be discovered long ago.

Claudia : stupid ! the treasure may be just a sack full of diamonds .

On seeing Claudia and Kumar talk Shetty also joins them .

Kumar : she says that the treasure is a sack full of diamonds and it is up in the tree and not buried in the ground.

Shetty : how can you say that ?

Claudia : remember the drawing on the map. The parrot is dropping the diamond in a hole over the pipal tree which is in the center of the 3 trees . So maybe there is a parrot nest in the hollow of pipal tree and that is where the treasure is .

Shetty : it is worth a try .

Kumar : you always agree to nonsense .

Shetty : just climb the tree and look for the hollow in the tree.

Both Shetty and Kumar climb the center pipal tree and start climbing up the tree . Noticing Shetty and Kumar climb the tree , Pran aks 

Pran : what are these fools doing ?

Rawal : they are looking from the top where the treasure could be .

Pran : [Pran just shakes his head ] I will just kick these fools in their butt after I find the treasure .

Kumar finds a hollow in the tree and sinks his hand into it .his hand touches something and he freezes . Shetty looks at Kumar and asks him

Shetty :what is it ?

Kumar : I thing I found something .

Shetty : [ flinches ] be careful .

Kumar slowly pulls out a black sack from the hollow of the tree and open the sack .he lets out a squeal on seeing the contents of the sack . Shetty puts his finger on his lips and says quite. On hearing the squeal of Kumar Pran asks

Pran : what happened ?

Shetty : nothing . just got hurt by the branch.

Pran : both of you jokers get down from the tree immediately . we are sweating it out here and you are sleeping on the tree.

Kumar and Shetty get down from the tree and just stretch their hands . They both pick up the shovel and pretend to dig for a little while . Pran looks at Shetty , Kumar and Rawal and notices that they are just pretending to dig while they are just standing and shoveling the mud.

Pran : what do you think you 3 are doing .

Shetty : sir: you have got the map and you will soon find the treasure . we don’t want any part of it so please let us go.

Rawal : [ on listening this throws the shovel ] I want to find the treasure and want my cut.

Kumar : [ grabbing rawal by the hand ] sir we don’t want anything , the treasure is all yours .

Pran : get out of my sight. You are just hampering my work here.

Shetty holds the arm of Claudia and the trio along with Claudia leave the digging site.

The trio and Claudia reach the apartment of Claudia and Kumar empties the contents of the sack on the table and out tumbles from the sack shinning diamonds . they all rejoice and dance around the table with diamonds on it .

Meanwhile Pia asks Pran

Pia : where are the trio.

Pran : I sent them away . they were just climbing trees and doing nothing. They were bugging me .

Pia : they must have found something while we are digging like idiots here

Pran : I am not leaving this place until I find the treasure .

Pia : we can dig for the treasure later I want to know why the trio left so early . they want the treasure badly . lets go find them and see what they got . they were not climbing the tree for nothing . they have definitely something.

Pran [ oils his moustache ] if that is true . and if they have found something I will break all there bones.

Pia: all you ever think of is breaking bones , that is why you are still a small time don .

Pia , Pran and all his henchmen reach the apartment of Claudia and knock on it . on hearing the knock Rawal quickly puts all the diamonds in the sack and hides them behind his back. Claudia opens the door . Pran pushes Claudia aside and barges in followed by Pia and the henchmen.

Pran : where is the treasure ?

Claudia : what treasure ?

Pran : [ turns towards Claudia with menace written all over his face ] you found something there on the ground or on the tree that is why you all left so early.

Shetty : we found nothing there . we just left because we want no part of any treasure that you may find .

Pran : and why not you don’t want any part of the treasure .

Shetty : because you wont give us any any ways .

Pran : hmmm.

Pia : tell your men to search the house and search them .

Pran : turn the whole house upside down .

The henchmen start to throw all the things in the apartment around searching for treasure .

Claudia : you are wrecking my apartment we have nothing .

Pran[gestures towards Rawal to come to him . Rawal walks towards Pran awkwardly . Pran frisks him thoroughly but finds nothing . after the search is over the apartment looks like a storm has hit it , with everything lying everywhere .

Henchman : there is nothing here boss.

Pran : they let go back to our digging .

Everyone leaves through the door .while going out Pia turns to the trio and Claudia and say

Pia : I know you have something and sooner or later we will find it .[ and turns and leaves ]

After everyone has left he rushes to close the door and quickly asks

Kumar : where are the diamonds .

Rawal : [ making a very painful face] they are inside me .I shoved them up my butt now take them out .

Kumar , Shetty and Claudia laugh and hug Rawal and say you are the greatest and the best man on earth .

The next day the trio and Claudia go to a jewelry shop and place the diamonds on the showcase in front of the jeweler . the jeweler examines the diamonds and says

Jeweler : the diamonds are very rare and very expensive . I will not be able to give you the price for them today . come tomorrow and I will pay you 25 corers for them.

The trio lets out a whistle when they hear the amount .they quickly put the diamonds in the sack and leave the shop. The jeweler leans forward from his table and see them going out of his shop . he quickly takes out his mobile phone and dials a number . on the other line the director of customs Sharad picks up the phone .

Jeweler : 3 men and a woman came to my shop with some very rare and expensive diamonds and I think they are stolen . I have asked them to come tomorrow to my shop for payment. You can make some arrangements and come prepared .

Sharad : ok . see you tomorrow .

Pia can’t get over the feeling that the trio have something and expresses her thoughts to Pran.

Pia : I am quite sure that the trio have something . have some of your men to follow them .

Pran : they are just fools . but if you insist I will follow them .

The next day at 12 noon the trio and Claudia leave the apartment to go to the jeweler shop. They are closely followed by Pran and his men . the trio along with Claudia enter the jeweler shop . Pran on seeing this gets suspicious and says

Pran : what are there paupers doing in a jewelry shop ? [ gestures to his men ] after them quickly .

Pran along with his henchmen barge into the jewelry shop and see the diamonds lying on top of the glass showcase . and exclaims

Pran : so you did find the diamonds at the park .

Pran and all his men take their guns out and point them at the trio and the people in the shop. Everyone raises their hands in air .

Rawal : [ looking dejected ] so there goes our treasure . we just have only bad luck.

Just then a police pose of 15 policemen enter the jewelry shop followed by Sharad . he orders all the henchmen to drop their guns as their game is over and the police is here to arrest everyone. Sharad walks up to the Jeweler and says

Sharad : so you have been dealing in stolen jewelry .

Shetty : sir this is not stolen . we found it following a treasure map.

Sharad : how do I know you are telling the truth . you will all end up in a prison for a good 15 years .

Jeweler : you can take all the diamonds and release us all.

Sharad : are you bribing me .

Pran : no sir . you can just take the diamonds in your custody and declare them in the police station . there is no need for you to arrest us . we have nothing to do with these diamonds .

Sharad : you were in the shop with your guns pointing at everyone and you were trying to rob the shop.

Pran : sir we are all good friends and they all know me . don’t we friends .

Shetty : yes sir we all know each other very well and he was just showing off his new guns to us.

Sharad : ok I wont waste anymore of my time here .[ gestures to the jeweler to put the diamonds in the sack ]

The jeweler quickly puts the diamonds in a sack and gives them to Sharad

Sharad takes the diamonds and walks out of the door saying

Sharad : now all of you behave yourself.

Sharad and all the police just leaves as quickly as they had come. Pran grabs the collar of Rawal and says angrily

Pran : I don’t ever want to see any one of you again . [ and walks out of the shop.]

The trio and Claudia sadly look at each other and Shetty says .

Shetty : we had it all in our hands . but we are just unlucky.

Kumar : let us go to the yum yum hotel and drown our sorrows in a few drinks .

Rawal : all he ever think of is drinks.

Claudia : lets go there I have a client of mine waiting there .

The trio and Claudia go to the yum yum hotel . they go and sit at the bar . Pia notices them and comes over to them and says.

Pia : so I hear the great treasure hunters lost it all.

Kumar : don’t rub it in . it hurts.

Shetty looks carefully at a man sitting next to them at the bar and having a drink. Shetty pulls Kumar close to him and says

Shetty : This man was a police man in the shop . so how can he be sitting at the bar and having a drink so soon.

Pia : he is a regular here .

Kumar gets up from his seat and goes over to the man and slaps him on the back of his head . the man leans forward and spills his drink and shouts .

Drunkard: what are you doing ?

Kumar hits him two three more slaps and says .

Kumar : just a while ago you were a police man in the jeweler shop , then what are you doing here .

Drunkard : I am not a police man . I am an actor. I was paid 1000 rupees for acting as a police man for 15 minutes .

On hearing this Rawal raises his hands sky wards and wails

Rawal : we have been robbed .

Shetty : who hired you .

Drunkard : someone called Sharad .

Pia : was he a short man with little moustache.

Drunkard : yes. now leave me alone

Pia : I know him . he is the director of customs and he has a little love nest in Andheri . sometimes I send girls over to his place for his fun flings.

Kumar : this time we are going to his little love nest for more fun.

Claudia : wait . he came with fake police to the shop , that means he has the diamonds with him.

Rawal : and we are going to get them back.

Shetty : [ slaps the drunkard ] where we can get the police uniforms ?

Drunkard : from Ronny shop and here is the address [ the drunkard takes out a visiting card of Ronny and throws it on the table .] now let me drink in peace .

Pia gathers all her staff and dresses them up as police officers . the trio , Pia and Claudia disguise as police officers wearing dark glasses and all together they go the apartment of Sharad on a raid.

On reaching Sharad apartment – Claudia knocks on the door . Sharad opens the door and on seeing the police he quickly tries to close the door . Kumar and Shetty pushes the door open and enter the apartment of Sharad .

Sharad : I have done nothing why are you here . I am the director of customs . I will have all of you arrested .

Kumar : we are the police and we are here to arrest you.

Shetty : your game is over . we have solid information that you are in league with a jeweler and you have taken diamonds worth corers from their rightful owners .

Sharad : I have done no such thing .

Claudia : [ gesturing to the other men dressed a s police men ] search the house.

Sharad :[ running in front of the police men with out stretched hands ] there is nothing there . please leave .

Claudia : search the house .[ and the men fan out in the house ]

Sharad sits down on the sofa with his hands on his head and starts sobbing . Soon Kumar comes out of the room with a big suitcase . he opens the suit case and it is filled with notes worth lac of rupees .Shetty comes out of another room with another suitcase full of money .

Rawal : your game is up . this is all bribe money that you have collected now tell us where are the diamonds and we may let you go free .

Sharad looks up with tears in his eyes and says

Sharad : everything is lost . I am finished .

Rawal : nothing is finished . just as you take bribe . we will also take our share and let you go free and you can start all over again. But first the diamonds .

Sharad : [ pointing towards the box on the table ] the diamonds are in that box .

Claudia quickly goes over to the box and takes out the sack from the box. And checks the diamonds .Pia gestures to her staff to move out. Everyone leaves the apartment quickly leaving Sharad in tears.

Back at the yum yum hotel everyone celebrates their windfall of crores .

Shetty : we have got our fortune back that we had lost .

Rawal : now we will be sensible with our money.

Kumar : and I am just waiting for another adventure
