On Love's Edge

The Indian navy aircraft carrier INS Virat is patrolling the high seas off the coast of Cochin. A message is received in the command room of INS Virat that 2 unidentified ships are seen in the region and their movements are found to be suspicious in the international waters just beyond India's maritime boundary. The ship’s commander is ordered to investigate the 2 unidentified ships which could be of high sea pirates moving close to the Indian international borders. The commander of the aircraft carrier orders out a patrol to investigate.

 

Pilot Meenakshi is briefed of her mission to fly and investigate the 2 unidentified ships and to take the photographs of the ships as the 2 ships are maintaining silence over the radio when contacted by the Indian navy. Meenakshi is ordered to exercise full caution while on the mission.

 

Meenakshi takes off from the aircraft INS Virat on her jump jet sea harrier. She approaches the 2 ships and circles over them, taking photographs of the 2 ships. She hovers her sea carrier close to the 2 ships to take close up photographs and is met by heavy gunfire form the 2 ships. Meenakshi radios back that she is under fire from the 2 ships and lets loose a salvo of heavy gun fire from her plane on to the 2 ships. She wears off her plane from the 2 ships but her air craft has taken critical damage and crashes into the ocean. Just before her air craft crashes into the ocean she ejects from the plane giving her co-ordinates to the INS Virat.

 

The war ships of the indian navy escorting the INS Virat rush to the rescue. A sea king helicopter is dispatched for the rescue of Meenakshi from INS Virat, piloted by Sunny. Sunny reaches over the area of the coordinates sent out by Meenakshi and scans the waters for signs of Meenakshi but is unable to find any trace of her. Just over the horizon in the ocean he sees the 2 smoking pirate ships and flies over his sea king helicopter near the 2 ships. Sunny radios to the ships inquiring about the indian navy pilot Meenakshi. The pirate ships replies his radio message by a salvo of gun fire. Sunny opens up his guns of the sea king helicopter and blazes away firing his rockets at the 2 pirate ships.

 

The pirates under intense fire from the sea king toss Meenakshi overboard into the cold waters of the arabian sea and seeing the indian war ships on the horizon streak away into the high seas, on fire and badly damaged.

 

On seeing Meenakshi struggling and trying to keep herself afloat in the ocean waters Sunny decides to rescue her. The co-pilot of Sunny tells him that they do not have the safety line to haul in Meenakshi from the ocean’s waters. Sunny says that he will lower the helicopter just above Meenakshi and they will pull her in. The co-pilot says that the war ship will soon be close to Meenakshi and they will rescue her. On seeing Meenakshi struggling to keep herself afloat in the ocean Sunny say that it may be too late for the war ships to rescue her and she may drown by then.

The co-pilot warns that Sunny would be putting the sea king in grave danger by hovering just above the oceans water and that they may hit the water and crash as well. Sunny brushes aside the warnings of his co-pilot and in a daring maneuver lowers the sea king helicopter very close to the waves of ocean and just above Meenakshi. Sunny’s crew pulls Meenakshi into the safety of the helicopter and fly back to INS Virat.

 

Sunny action of hovering the helicopter just above the ocean waves and endangering the sea king and the lives of the crew is brought under scrutiny. The ship commander feels that since the escort war ships were near they would have rescued Meenakshi. Sunny advocates his action by stating that Meenakshi was injured and was struggling to keep herself afloat in the waters and if he had delayed his rescue she may have as well drowned, besides Sunny states that he has full confidence over his abilities as a pilot to fly his sea king helicopter in all kinds of weather conditions and in most difficult situations and by his actions he has demonstrated just that. Meenakshi also speaks in favor of Sunny and tell the ship commander that she was injured and close to drowning and the daring rescue maneuver of Sunny saved her life. The commander after listening to Sunny and Meenakshi and weighing the pro and cons clears Sunny of any hasty decision and states to Sunny that he did the right thing under the circumstances and says that ‘we have to be daring we are soldiers’.

 

Sunny takes a liking to Meenakshi and goes to see her in the ships hospital where she is recovering from her leg injury. Meenakshi is very amused with Sunny coming to see her very often in a day on the pretext of asking her well being. On seeing Sunny the 10th time the same day, come to see her to inquire about her health, Meenakshi smiles and tell Sunny that he does not have to be so worried about her because she is absolutely fine and would be discharged from the hospital tomorrow itself, but she feel that if Sunny comes in to see her one more time then he may end up in the hospital himself as love sick. Sunny laughs at this and says to Meenakshi that he is not in love with meenakhsi as he is already engaged to another girl. Meeankahi thanks Sunny for saving her life and tells him to go away from her before she falls in love with him. Sunny kisses the hand of Meenakshi and leaves the room.

 

 Meenakshi is discharged from the hospital the next day. Both Sunny and Meenakshi meet in the mess hall and Sunny helps to serve her food and then they both sit on separate tables facing each other looking and smiling at each other. Sunny comes over to the table of Meenakshi and says to her that may be he is in love with her. At this Meenakshi says that he better think over what he is saying because he is engaged to Urvashi the daughter of vice admiral. Sunny heaves a sigh and says that Urvashi does not know that he is with a girl right now, besides he just wants to be friends with Meenakshi as a fellow pilot on the air craft carrier. Meenakshi holds the hand of Sunny in her hand and says that this time he will be trouble with Urvashi and then nobody can save him from Urvashi.

 

The weeks that follow brings Sunny and Meenakshi closer to each other and it becomes well known on the INS Virat that Sunny and Meenakshi are going steady. Sunny and Meenakshi spend all their free time on the air craft carrier together. Sunny out his passion for Meenakshi take her out for a joy ride on his sea king helicopter while on a regular patrol, which was agaINSt the code of conduct. An inquiry is INStituted by the commander and Sunny is held guilty of disobedience. Urvashi well aware of the closeness of Sunny with Meenakshi uses the influence of her father and gets Sunny transferred to the naval base at cochin where she is herself posted.

 

Sunny is grounded at cochin and is disallowed to fly for 3 months. Urvashi confronts Sunny with the talk of his being very close to Meenakshi. In front of Urvashi Sunny is unable to state his true feeling about Meenakshi and says to Urvashi that he and Meenakshi are just good friends and fellow pilots on the air craft carrier and the air craft carrier is a small place and they keep bumping into each other. Urvashi says that the entire crew of the air craft carriers is saying that you are in love with Meenakshi. At this Sunny says that the crew has only the ocean to look at all the time so when something different comes they just let loose their imagination and linked him with Meenakshi for their gossip and to keep themselves entertained. Urvashi eyes Sunny suspiciously but believes him.

 

Meenakshi is left on INS Virat without Sunny and her heart longs for Sunny. She applies for leave and is granted leave. Meenakshi lands at the cochin naval base to be with Sunny. Urvashi learns that Meenakshi is also at the naval base and plans to get her out of the way by having her leave cut short. Urvashi tries to influence her father vice admiral shubham to cut short Meenakshi leave but her father refuses to intervene saying that the official matters of navy are not to be made domestic just because his daughter feels INSecure with the presence of another woman in the life of Sunny. He tells her that she need to be strong and have trust in Sunny.

Urvashi feels that Sunny can be loyal to the country and will lay his life without a second thought but when it comes to women, men are like dogs and they will wag their tail at every lovely women who will only smile at them. And saying this Urvashi walks out of the room slamming the door behind her.

 

Meenakshi meets Sunny at the naval base in the officers mess hall. On seeing Sunny she walks up to him and kisses him on booth his cheeks, Sunny gives her a warm hug and offers her a seat. Meenakshi wanting to keep Sunny to herself takes out a lucky charm in a silver chain from her purse and puts it around Sunny neck. Meenakshi says that the lucky charm will ward off evil spirits and will keep all the other unwanted girls away from him.

 

A fellow officer Radhika records this on her mobile phone and sends it to Urvashi by mms. The other officers who have gathered at the mess hall are celebrating the birthday of a fellow officer and they request Meenakshi to sing a song who was a singer while she was in college. Meenakshi agrees to sing and sings a song.

 On receiving the MMS of Sunny and Meenakshi together in the navy mess hall, Urvashi rushes to the mess hall but when she comes both Meenakshi and Sunny have left. Urvashi goes to her home and start breaking and throwing the furniture and tables lamps around in the house. Her father comes out of his room and ask Urvashi what is the matter. Urvashi says that Sunny is going out with Meenakshi and Meenakshi is singing love songs to him. Urvashi father says that if she behaves like a crazed possessed girl she will surely loose Sunny to Meenakshi, Instead, she must behave like a cultured girl and win his heart once and for all so that the charms of all other women fall flat on Sunny and Sunny will be all hers. Urvashi breaks the last flower pot and goes in her room.

 

The next day Urvashi meets Meenakshi on the road and confronts her. Urvashi tells Meenakshi that she and Sunny are engaged to be married and that she need not come in between their marriage or else she will get her transferred to the fartherst corner of earth for good. Meenakshi tells Urvashi that if she can’t keep her man to herself then she should not blame her if  Sunny seek solace in her arms. Urvashi warns Meenakshi that she will get her grounded if Meenakshi does not leave Sunny alone and go away. Meenakshi replies that she has not come here to go away but has come to take Sunny with her. Urvashi can’t control herself any more and slaps and pull the hair of Meenakshi hard. Meenakshi and Urvashi pull at each other hair, slap each other and tear each other clothes. Meenakshi screams at Urvashi that she is spoiling her perfect make up and breaks up from the fight and runs away from Urvashi. Meenakshi rushes to car and get in it and drive away. Urvashi follows Meenakshi in her car and chase her thru the streets of the housing complex of the naval base. Urvashi rams her car into Meenakshi car making it turn side ways and facing the front of her car. Urvashi reverses her car to smash head along into the car of Meenakshi. Meenakshi tries to restart her car but is unable to do so, she quickly get away from the drivers seat and gets out of the car from the passenger side door of the car. Urvashi rams her car into Meenakshis car head along. Urvashi then gets out of her car and chases Meenakshi on foot. Meenakshi takes off her scandals and throws them at Urvashi who in turn takes off her scandals and throws at Meenakshi.

 

Meenakshi runs into the interior of the housing complex and rushes to the flat of Sunny. She bangs at the door of Sunny’s flat. Sunny opens the door and is surprised to she Meenakshi in a disshelved state. Meenakshi pushes aside Sunny and slams the door shut. She then rushes over to the window and sees Urvashi standing in the middle of the road tearing her hair and shouting ‘where are you hiding come out you bitch, I won’t leave you in peace I will ger even with you’. Sunny also see Urvashi raving and ranting from the window and asks Meenakshi what is wrong. Meenakshi says that Urvashi has gone crazy and tired to kill her.Sunny asks Meenakshi why would Urvashi do such a thing. Meenakshi says that Urvashi knows about the close relationship that they both share with each other.

 

Sunny says that he does not want to hurt the feelings of Urvashi and want to straighten things out with Urvashi and remove all her misunderstandings and tell her that Meenakshi and he are jut very good friends and he walks towards the door of his flat. Meenakshi quickly races forward and stands in front of the door and holds the hand of Sunny who had stretched it out to open the door. Meenakshi tells Sunny that ‘then it is now time that we became more than just very good friends’ and put the fingers of Sunny in her mouth and kisses them seductively and eyes him lustily. Sunny say to Urvashi that he is confused between Urvashi and Meenakshi and he loves both of them equally. Meenakshi says that she will remove that confusion today. Sunny withdraws his hand from the hand of Meenakshi and tell her that he can’t betray Urvashi. Meenakshi scoff’s at this and says that Urvashi is the vice admirals daughter and he wants to use her just to further his career. Sunny denies this charge of Meenakshi and tells her that his engagement with Urvashi was arranged thru a common relative and it had nothing to do with Urvashi’s father being a vice admiral. Sunny then asks Meenakshi to leave his flat.

 

At that moment Urvashi bangs at the door of Sunny’s flat. Meenakshi quickly takes off her clothes and stands in just in her panties in front of Sunny. Sunny looks at Meenakshi speechless with his mouth wide open. Meenakshi tells Sunny that if she open the door at this moment and Urvashi sees her like this then there would be no doubt left in the mind of Urvashi that Meenakshi and he are having a passionate affair. Sunny stay silent and rooted at his place unable to decide what to do. Meenakshi puts a finger on his lips and gestures Sunny to be quite. Urvashi bangs and the door five or six times more and then leaves.

 

 After Urvashi has left Sunny asks Meenakshi to leave his flat immediately. Meenakshi says not so fast, ‘your fiancee tore all my clothes, pulled my hair, spoiled my makeup, smashed my car just because I am in love with you’. Sunny says that it not his fault that you two women are fighting over me. Meenakshi says that she is a die hard soldier as well and all is fair in love and war and she is not giving up her claim for Sunny at all. And saying this she lunges at Sunny with out stretched hands. Sunny steps back and runs behind the sofa. Meenakshi chases Sunny and climbs onto the sofa and then jumps on Sunny. They both fall on the floor with Meenakshi on top of Sunny. Meenakshi passionately kisses Sunny, Sunny pushes her away with his hands. Meenakshi tears at his shirt then sits on her knees and pulls away at his pants exposing him naked. Meenakshi then jumps on top of Sunny and locks her lips with his. Sunny surrenders to Meenakshi.

 

The next morning the vice admiral shubham calls for a briefing of all his senior officers in the briefing room at the cochin naval base. Shubham briefs the naval officers that indian navy will be launching from the cochin naval base the latest state of the art air defense ship INS gajraj in 2 weeks time. The ship would base a squadron of the mig – 29 and a squadron of the latest light combat helicopters of india. The squadrons would be named pegasus and ashvamegh the flying horses. The ashvamegh squadron will be commanded by squadron leader Sunny and the pegasus squadron will be commanded by squadron leader Meenakshi who will take command of the squadrons in 2 weeks time.

 

The briefing over, all the naval officers leave the briefing room while Sunny was going out, vice admiral asks him to stay as he has to talk to him. After all the officers has left the room shubham turns to Sunny. Shubham says that the charges agaINSt Sunny of disobedience has be dropped after review and as he is the finest helicopter pilot his wings has being reINStated to command the ashvamegh squadron on INS gajraj which is the pride of indian navy. Sunny thanks shubham for expressing faith in him and giving the command of the latest indian naval attack helicopters.

 

Shubham says now that official work is over he wants to talk to him as a father of a bride to be. Shubham says that he loves his daughter very much and he does not want her to be sad but off late she has been very disturbed because Sunny is friendly with his fellow pilot Meenakshi. Shubham asks Sunny that, is he having an affair with Meenakshi. Sunny replies that the fears of Urvashi are totally unfounded and just out of jealousy, there is nothing between him and Meenakshi apart from being good friends as fellow pilots on a same air craft carrier. Shubham is happy to hear this and says then the marriage between Urvashi and Sunny will be in two months time and no problems will crop till the marriage. Sunny replies in the affirmative as yes sir shubham say that it is good that Sunny is a mature man and he should concentrate on his career and flying skills and the loose talk of linking him with other women should not distract him.

 

Sunny starts practicing on the latest light combat helicopters of the indian navy and honing his flying skills before being based on air defense ship INS Gajraj. A day before the launch of the INS gajraj Sunny takes Urvashi out on a ride of the helicopter. He flies the helicopter in loops and in stunt flying in tandem with other helicopters of the squadron. Urvashi misses her heart beat every time Sunny flies the helicopter in tight loops and fascinating dangerous stunt maneuvers. After landing Sunny helps Urvashi out of the helicopter whose head is reeling in circles and is felling dizzy. Urvashi grabs Sunny by his collar and asks him to come with her. Sunny says that he cannot come as he has to prepare for the launch of the ship the next day and he would be very busy. Sunny signals for the car and the car comes on to the tarmac. Sunny opens the door for Urvashi and tells the driver to take her home.

 

Urvashi reaches home but her heart is longing for Sunny. She sends out a message to Sunny thru her orderly that vice admiral shubham want to see Sunny immediately for a very important briefing at his house right away and that Sunny is to accompany the orderly. Sunny on receiving the message comes to vice admiral shubham house. He rings the bell. Urvashi opens the door, wearing a pink knee length skirt low on her hips and a light blue short top exposing her naval with pink rouge adorning her cheeks and glossy red lipstick her lips, Sunny finds Urvashi looking fascinating and beautiful. He just stands and stares at Urvashi for a moment unable to decide what to say. Urvashi holds Sunny by the ear and leads him INSide the house.

Sunny regains his senses and demands to know what is going on. In reply Urvashi pushes him on the chair and says that the vice admiral would come in 5 minutes and in the meantime she has to make him comfortable. Urvashi seductively runs her fingers from his chest up to his neck and goes behind him. She takes a rope from the nearby chair and ties Sunny’s hand behind the chair. Sunny protest that she is behaving like a child and that he has serious work to do and his presence at the ship is required urgently. Urvashi says that she will behave like a adult and that his presence in front of her is also required urgently and she envy the ship which has all his attention.

Urvashi takes a scissor and cut the buttons from his shirt one by one. Sunny protest that this is his best uniform that she is cutting up. Unmindful of Sunny protest Urvashi just runs her tongue over his lips and continues to cut his shirt with the scissors in strips baring his chest. Sunny struggles to free his hands but is unable to do so. Urvashi then cuts up his pants and then his underwear exposing him naked. Sunny presses his legs together. Urvashi put her high heeled sandlas in between his legs and slowly strips off her clothes. She sits on the lap of Sunny and kisses him passionately on his eyes, cheeks and lips. She puts her legs around Sunny’s back and holds him in her grip. Sunny breaks his bonds and frees his hands and holds Urvashi close to him. Urvashi buries his head into her bosom and whispers to Sunny ‘ this is something for him to remember and to have fond memories of her ’.

 

The next morning the INS – Gajraj is formally commissioned to the indian navy and to the nation. The pegasus squadron of mig 29 and the ashvamegh squadron of combat helicopters give a fly past. The INS gajraj is launched at sea with full naval honor and ceremony.

 

Meenakshi is very happy that she is once again with Sunny on the ship and Urvashi on land cooling her heels. In the ship mess hall Meenakshi walks up to Sunny and holds his collar wide with both her hands and say to Sunny that he is not wearing the luck charm that she gave to him. Sunny tells her that he carries the lucky charm in his pocket. Meenakshi puts her hand in Sunny pocket and takes out the lucky charms and puts the chain around his neck. She tells him that Urvashi is not here to bother him with her crazed behavior and holds his hand and lead him to the nearest table for dinner.

 

The closeness of Meenakshi and Sunny does not go unnoticed by the crew of the ship and the noise of their togetherness reach the ears of Urvashi. Urvashi confronts her father and says to him that he has to decide between his official duty and his father’s duty and ground Sunny at the cochin base for her sake as every one is talking about Sunny and Meenakshi going steady and both of them can’t stay from each other on the ship and if he delays in taking a decisions then she will loose Sunny to Meenakshi. Shubham to calm his daughter decides to inspect INS- gajraj at sea and see for himself the truth behind the rumors of Meenakshi and Sunny being together.

 

Vice admiral shubham land on the INS- gajraj along with Urvashi who accompanies him as his aide. The vice admiral takes the guard of honor on the ship and then inspect the ship. On the sidelines shubham asks the ship commander about meenakhsi and Sunny relationship. The commander says that both are pilots and have important roles to play on the ship and they are together as a result of that and besides Meenakshi is a very attractive girl so it is natural for men to be around her and he does not mind the closeness of Sunny and meeankshi as their relationship is well with in the bonds of acceptable behavior and the code of the conduct of the navy.

 

While INSpecting the quarters of Sunny Urvashi chances upon a handkerchief of Meenakshi and find traces of lipstick on his uniform that is lying on his bed. Urvashi is besides herself with jealousy and anger but keep herself under control and politely asks Sunny whose lipstick traces are still on his uniform. At this Sunny replies that they are spots of the beet root vegetable and not lipstick. Then Urvashi holds up the handkerchief of Meenakshi and asks him since when has Sunny started sharing clothes with Meenakshi. At this Sunny replies that Meenakshi gave him the handkerchief just to wipe and clean the coffee that had fallen on his uniform. At this Urvashi says that they do not serve beetroot on the ship and Sunny does not drink coffee as he is allergic to it.

 

Urvashi takes a step towards Sunny and stands face to face with him she grabs his balls and squeezes them hard. Sunny bends over with pain but on seeing the vice admiral standing next to him straightens up. Subham ignores the scene and looks the other way and let Urvashi do the talking with Sunny. Urvashi pulls at the uniform shirt of Sunny and see the lucky charm of Meenakshi she angrily takes off the lucky charm from around Sunny’s neck and tells him that if Sunny leaves her for Meenakshi then he will be wearing his balls around his neck as lucky charm. Urvashi lets go her grip off Sunny balls and looks at him with love in her eyes and tells him that she loves him very much and she dreams of him every night being his bride. Urvashi then kisses Sunny on his cheeks and takes out a lucky charm from her pocket and puts it around Sunny neck and tells him that this charm will protect him from all evil influence of other women and will keep him hers and tells him never to take off her lucky charm.

 

Urvashi then walks over to Meenakshi and gives back Meenakshi’s lucky charm back to her and says to her that Sunny does not need this evil charm and that Sunny is her husband to be and Meenakshi should look somewhere else for another man in her life. Meenakshi frowns at Urvashi and tells her that the only lucky charm that Sunny ever need is just a kiss from her. Meenakshi then walks up to Sunny and kisses him firmly on his lips. Meenakshi then turns to Urvashi and says that ‘i love Sunny you do whatever you like’ and then walks away.

 

Sunny stands quietly without saying a word. He turns towards the vice admiral and says that it is the  two women fighting with each other and he is just getting grinded in their love and fight for him. Urvashi walks up to Sunny gives him two tight slaps on each of his cheeks and walks away in a huff. The vice admiral and Urvashi leave the INS gajraj after the INSpection.

 

Urvashi is feeling very INSecure with the presence of Meenakshi around Sunny and decides to entrap her in a conspiracy and remove her from Sunny life forever. She plans to plant some sensitive documents of INS-Gajraj in the flat of Meenakshi and then have a raid conducted by the naval police at her flat and have Meenakshi arrested on the charges of treason and spying and passing sensitive papers to the enemy. To see her plan thru Urvashi takes the photocopy of some sensitive documents from the office of vice admiral, at night she then climbs into the window of Meenakshi’s flat from the water pipe and then plants the sensitive documents in the bedroom of Meenakshi.

 

INS Gajraj anchor at the Cochin naval base and Meenakshi retires to her flat at the naval base. Urvashi disguises herself, wearing a makeup that makes her look older with a very dark complexion and wears old clothes and engages 2 casual laborers working at the naval base to do her bidding. She pays them rs.1000.00 each and gives them new clothes and dresses them as gentlemen and ask them to walk up to Meenakshi and ask from her the directions to the vice admiral office and then hand Meenakshi a newspaper and then walk away from her. The casual laborers for rs.1000.00 and new clothes agree to do the bidding of Urvashi with out any fuss.

 

On seeing Meenakshi in the park of the naval base Urvashi sends the 2 men to Meenakshi. The 2 men walks up to Meenakshi and ask her the directions to the house of vice admiral and push the newspaper in their hand into Meenakshi’s hand. From a distance Urvashi takes a photograph of Meenakshi and the 2 men from her mobile phone. Urvashi then rushes to the vice admirals office and tells him that Meenakshi is a spy and she is giving sensitive details out to agents of other countries. Shubham rubbishes the claim of Urvashi and tells her that it her jealousy for Meenakshi that is making her say that. Urvashi INSist that she is his daughter and is a upright soldier and knows her code of conduct very well. Shubham tell her to get Meenakshi out of her mind. Urvashi says that she taken the photograph of Meenakshi giving sensitive details to spy agents and shows the photo to shubham of Meenakshi with 2 men handing over a bunch of papers to Meenakshi.

 

Shubham disregards the spying suspicion of Urvashi for Meenakshi saysing that Meenakshi may be meeting some one she knows and the photo does not prove anything. Urvashi implores to shubham to believe her saying that she is talking to him as a vice admiral and not to her father and he should pay heed to her words not as his a daughter but as a naval officer telling him something him important. Urvashi INSists and pressures shubham to search the flat of Meenakshi for any sensitive naval documents. Shubham agrees and sends out some naval police men to search Meenakshi flat. The search of Meenakshi reveals the sensitive documents of INS Gajraj in her flat.

 

An inquiry is constituted in the matter of sensitive documents being found at Meenakshi flat. Meenakshi cries foul paly with her and says that she has no knowledge of the sensitive documents in her flat as she was on board INS Gajraj. On being shown the photograph of 2 men with her. Meenakshi says that she has never seen the 2 men before in her life and that the bunch of papers that is seen in the photo is the newspaper that the 2 men thrust into her hand and asked her the directions to the vice admirals house and then left. Meenakshi implores to commodore satyan. Commander of INS gajraj to believe her and to get to the bottom of this conspiracy as she is being framed.

 

Commodore satyan believes Meenakshi and request vice admiral for a more detailed probe into the matter. The 2 men on the photograph are recognized on the housing complex of the naval base and are presented before the inquiry commission. The 2 men testify that they are casual laborers contracted on the naval base to do construction work. They clarify that they were met by an old woman who gave them new clothes and rs.1000.00 each to walk up to Meenakshi and thrust a newspaper in her hand and then ask for directions for the vice admiral office and then walk away from Meenakshi and besides that they know nothing. The defense council ask the 2 men that will they recognize the woman who gave them the money to do her bidding and they reply yes. The defense council then ask Urvashi to step forward and stand in front of the 2 men. Urvashi stands up from her seat and steps forward nervously before the 2 men. The 2 men say that Urvashi is not the women who had engaged them as they are unable to recognize Urvashi without her makeup of old woman.

 

The defense council then questions Urvashi how come she came about taking the photo of Meenakshi with the 2 men. Urvashi states that she was just passing by when she saw Meenakshi with 2 men at an odd hour and she just took her photo with her mobile and felt that may be Meenakshi was a spy and the police did find the sensitive papers of INS gajraj in Meenakshi flat. The defense council states that it is now clear that the 2 men were clearly hired by someone to entrap Meenakshi and the sensitive papers may have been planted in Meenakshi flat during her absence. The defense council further states that the sensitive documents were taken from the vice admiral office and that Urvashi has easy access to the vice admiral office and it is on her INSistence that the police search was conducted at Meenakshi house and it is well known that Urvashi sees threat from Meenakshi for her love for Sunny and that Urvashi is now under suspicion of taking photocopy of the the sensitive papers and planting them at Meenakshi flat and wrongful entry into the vice admiral office and as well as Meenakshi flat.

 

Urvashi pleads innocence and says that she nothing personal against Meenakshi on leveling charges her. And she just stated her fears to her senior officer and did her duty as an officer to catch any wrong doer. And her suspicion has indeed paid a positive dividends in disclosing that there is some one on the naval base who is trying to sabotage the honor of a fellow officer and put suspicion on the upright officers as spies and such a conspiracy will only hamper the smooth functioning of the navy. Urvashi further states that she is open for any inquiry from the naval department as she is innocent. After hearing Urvashi the enquiry commission states that further investigation is needed in the matter and clears Meenakshi of any wrong doing.

 

After the end of the inquiry Sunny catches up with Urvashi and tells her flatly that he does not need any further investigation into the matter because he strongly feels that it was Urvashi herself who planted the sensitive papers in Meenakshi’s flat to get back at her and to remove her from the navy and it a dirty trick that Urvashi has employed to hurt a fellow officer. Urvashi looks at Sunny with her beautiful innocent eyes with tears swelling in her eyes and says to Sunny that ‘ you are being harsh in judging me, it is my intense love and passion for you as I don’t want to see you hurt at all, that I may have jumped to wrong conclusions about Meenakshi, believe me I have no wrong doing in this matter at all’. Sunny looks at the tears flowing down from Urvashi eyes and kisses her on her eyes and says to her, I believe you I know you will never do any wrong doing. Urvashi on listening this cheers up and tells Sunny that there is an engagement party of officer Radhika going on at the naval base gardens and they should go to her engagement and have fun. Sunny agrees and they reach the Radhika’s engagement party and their the fellow officers are making merry and singing and dancing and Sunny sings a song for Urvashi and Meenakshi also joINS in the celebration.

The shore leave over Sunny and Meenakshi head back to INS Gajraj. On a routine patrol in the high seas a message is relayed to the command post of the ship that 5 unidentified ships are seen just off the international maritime boundary of india and closing in a merchant ship heading for india’s coast. Sunny is ordered to fly on a recess and take stock of the situation and take photos of the unidentified ships. Sunny flies his combat helicopter close to the 5 ships and radios for their identification. In reply he is met with a hail of bullets. Sunny radios back that he is under intense fire from the 5 unidentified ships. Other helicopters and the mig – 29 with Meenakshi on board are scrambled from INS Gajraj to assist Sunny.

 

Commodore satyan gives the order to take the 5 unidentified ships out and to sink them as they are pirate ships and have been creating havoc on the high seas with regards to the shipping lines and ships coming to and fro from india.

 

Sunny lets loose a deadly salvo of heavy fire from his gun ship. He is soon supported by other helicopter gunships and the mig- 29 swoops in for the kill. Heavy fighting ensues between the 5 pirate ships and the helicopter gun ships. In the ensuing gun battle Sunny helicopter is badly hit and he crashes into the sea. All the 5 pirate ships are sunk and the helicopters and mig –29’s return to the INS Gajraj. The escort war ships race to the site of the battle and see the smoking and sinking remaINS of the pirate ships. The escort ships pick up the survivors of the pirate ships. But are unable to find Sunny and his crew.

 

Meenakshi anxiously awaits for the news of Sunny on board the ship, but Sunny and his crew is not sited. In the fading light of the evening and the rough waters of the Indian ocean hampers in the search and rescue operation. Meenakshi ask for and is granted permission for the search operation. She takes off in her jet from the ship and flies in low just over the ocean’s waves much agaINSt the wishes and command of her commander. She is ordered back to the ship but continues to search for Sunny in worsening weather and falling light. Finally low on fuel meenakhsi lands back on the ship heart broken. The search continues the next day but there is no sight of Sunny and his crew. They are feared lost at sea.

 

The new of Sunny missing at sea reaches Urvashi and in her grief she blames Meenakshi of killing Sunny and his crew. Urvashi states that she received the call of Sunny on her mobile phone on the fateful night and says that Sunny called her and said that Meenakshi is firing from her plane and then the call ended. Urvashi accuses Meenakshi of murdering Sunny out of jealousy because he was in love with her.

 

The inquiry is INStituted in the missing pilots. It is found that Meenakshi had remained on the search mission much agaINSt the wishes of her commander and she was the last one to land on the ship after the first day’s search mission. The defense council asks for the mobile phone record of Sunny and it is found that Urvashi had indeed received a call from Sunny and the call lasted for 5 seconds only. Meenakshi is asked to clarify her stand on the matter. Meenakshi states that she loves Sunny very much and she would never dream of hurting him, but with him gone she no longer cares about any thing.

 

With the circumstantial evidence not in favor of Meenakshi, she is found guilty of rash actions during the search operation and is ordered that she be stripped of her wings and her commission. 10 days pass of Sunny and his crew being lost at sea.

  

Sunny and his crew after being shot down had drifted in the stormy seas for the day and night and were picked up by the fishing boat. The stormy seas prevented the fishing boat from reaching the Indian main land. The fishing boat anchored at one of the islands of the Lakshadweep islands, which did not have communications links with the main land. The island was a host to a bevy of swim suit beauties who had landed on the island to shoot for the swim suit calendar. Sunny and his crew spent 10 blissful days in the company of a dozen beautiful girls who were all stuck on the island due to bad weather.

 

Sunny and his crew spends their time on the isolated island giving oil massages to the lovely girls and helping them with their shoot of the swim suit calendar by carrying the girls in their arms so that the girls feet don’t get dirty on the sand of the beaches and in turn for thanks the girls kiss them liberally. The weather improves and communication is restored. They all reach the lakshwdeep main island and Sunny and his crew contacts their base.

 

The news of Sunny and crew being safe in Lakshadweep islands reaches just in time before Meenakshi was being stripped of her wings and her commission. The action on Meenakshi was stayed when Sunny clarified over the communication channels that Meenakshi never fired at him and his crew in the ocean but she flew over head them but was unable to spot them in the stormy seas. On Sunny’s testimony Meenakshi is absolved of all the charges and is reINStated to her previous position.

 

Both Urvashi and Meenakshi awaits the arrival of Sunny at the cochin naval base. On landing at the naval base Sunny is confronted by Urvashi and Meenakshi who are surprised to see him in the company of 12 beautiful girls who all give a him a parting kiss and walk up to Urvashi and tell her that she is lucy girl to have him because he is just a marvelous man an then winks at Sunny. Urvashi pokes her finger into Sunny nose and asks him what the girls meant. Sunny tells her sheepishly that the girls were just thankful of him because he helped the girls when they were all stuck together on the island. Sunny then looks at Meenakshi and salutes her and Meenakshi returns back his salute.

 

Sunny tells Urvashi that Meenakshi is a honorable officer and a lady and Urvashi should not be jealous of Meenakshi when she is with him and bring nonsense charges against Meenakshi.

 

Urvashi says that I have nothing against Meenakshi and I will not be jealous of Meenakshi as long as she ties a rakhi around your wrist and calls you brother’. Urvashi laughs softly and kisses Sunny.
