Appreciation (Part 9)

Continued from part 8.....

It was none other than Sahil.

He still had tears in his eyes. Neetu's father was the one who was most astonished. Neetu and her mother felt relieved. Neetu was proud of Sahil. She was smiling. Seeing this mixed reaction coming, Sarika's father was confused. He asked them what happened? But to his awe, nobody replied anything. Finally, he only broke the silence," I wanted all of you to meet Sahil. I know you know him."

 Everyone was speechless and ran short of words. They saw towards each other. How he comes to know about all this?

" Because he is such a famous celebrity. How you don't know him. I am thankful to him. I can't even express it in words. He had returned me my life, my daughter. He is such a rich person but still, he had helped us. I don't know how to express my gratitude... As soon as the accident took place, he threatened the culprit and took Sarika to hospital. If he hadn't been there, anything could happen to her."

 He started crying. Sahil consoled him and asked him to be happy as she is safe now. The doctor had called him, so he left. 

Now again, there were Neetu's family and Sahil left in the room. He was just about to leave when Neetu called him and hugged him. Even her father didn't stop her. Her mother asked sorry on behalf of her husband. Neetu's father came," I am sorry. I was so blind with this hatred that I could only see the negative side. I didn't even try to think something positive. But, you didn't stop me when I was putting allegations on you. Just to save my respect, you admitted that you did it."

 "No need to feel sorry, uncle."

" Why there is no need? There is, and I must say sorry. I have no right to put false allegations on you, but you didn't utter a single word. Although I am older than you, you showed, how mature you are."

Even he had tearful eyes. "I hope you will forgive me, my son."

 "Son! What....... did he just..... did he just say, son... I mean...... Wow...... that's amazing... Please tell me its not a dream... I didn't want this to end...Please pinch me...... I still can't believe this. Can you? This is one of the happiest moment of my life. Do you know what all this means?"

" No. I didn't."

"He is somewhat ready for our relationship."

" What?"

" Yes, my dear."

" I can't believe this."

"Same here."

Neetu and Sahil were having telecommunication, through their eyes. 

Everyone is joyful as they saw this. They got relaxed after a long phase of stress, both in lives and in their home. Neetu was the gladdest one among them. She felt as if her father had stamped their relationship. They left. 

Neetu and Sahil couldn't sleep that night. They were extremely excited. The whole night, they were busy making future plans. How they would decorate their home, their living room, kitchen, hall........ Managing their working hours, long drives, dinner dates, parties, ..... There was endless chat going on both sides. It was Neetu who realized that it's 4 in the morning when she heard some sound of utensils in the kitchen. She knew it was her father.

Her father was habitual to go for a walk in the morning, after consuming a glass of warm water. She knew her father could come to her room. She said goodbye and cut the call. She switched off the lamp lights.

 It was her luck, that she switched off the lights. Her father came and pampered her. He thought her to be sleeping. If he found her using the phone, he would have scolded her. 

In the morning, Neetu woke up late. Her mother asked her the reason. She said that maybe she was relaxed last night, after having such a long period of stress. Her mother ignored the thing. 

Then, her father asked her. She repeated the same answer. Her father asked her again, to which she covered herself, with difficulty. Her brother was smart enough to catch her. He clearly asked her, to which, she told the truth. Her brother told her," I knew it. I had the right guess. He could be the only reason. Madam, you need to take care of yourself. Otherwise, I would change papa's mind. Don't plead me then."

"No....No...No...Please don't do this. I will take care of myself. This is our personal matter, we will resolve it na, why including papa in this." 

" Just chill."

She noticed that she was getting calls from Anjali, one of her friend. She forgot to call back. Anjali was leaving nearby, so she herself visit Neetu. But this time, Anjali was not her usual self. Neetu directly asked her what happened.

"Listen Neetu, don't get angry."

" Why would I ?"

" I...I don't know...How to tell you...I .."

"What I ...I...? Would you please tell me clearly? I m getting nervous."

 

Anjali gave her something.

Neetu could only reply," It's all a blunder."
