Who Am I?

Who am I, a name?

A reflection or a shadow of my parents?

Or am I the reflection of thee?

After all, we all are kinfolks!

If you and I are the same,

Then why are we in this game,

always fighting for fame?

Why we can’t be the same?

If we are not the same,

then maybe I am someone else.

Someone peaceful,

Joyful and loving!

Yes, that is me!

If it is so, then why am I so vulnerable?

Lost and lonely, on an isolated road!

Was I destined to play this role?

Enraged and furious! 

Worried and insecure! 

Jealous and devastated!

Infuriated and violated! 

Hurt! 

And ready to inflict more hurt?

Just because things don’t go my way?

Is this, who I am?

Is this the purpose of my being?

Is this my aim?

To be, the part of this selfish game!

Where was I headed for?

Where have I reached?

Why I just couldn’t be me?

A peaceful, powerful soul!

Why did I get trapped into this race of being 

someone, anyone, but just not me?

Humbly, I request you, to let me be me!

Give me love and care,

Nurture me, for who I am.

I promise I will bloom and blossom, 

Then you will proudly acclaim

and me you will embrace,

Then you will realize we are just the same!

Just give me a chance to be me!
