*"Reclaiming Wonder"*

Childhood's magic, a treasure rare,

A fascination that's hard to share,

Like a butterfly, it flutters by,

Leaving us grown-ups with a nostalgic sigh.

We yearn to relive those carefree days,

To chase fireflies and dance in sun-kissed ways,

But fortune smiles, and we get a second chance,

To re-experience it all, through our child's wonder-filled dance.

Like a master painter, we try to shape,

Their canvas of life, with our own adult escape,

But in doing so, we forget, it's their art,

Their masterpiece, their journey, their heart.

We want to stay in childhood's realm,

Where wonder and charm are the only helm,

But irony whispers, "Let them grow up fast,"

Into the adult world, where fascination's aghast.

Is this the real world, where they must make their mark?

A world devoid of enchantment, a dull, grey embark?

No, let us not forget, our role is to guide,

To let them spread their wings, and glide.

Like a gentle breeze, let us whisper low,

"Explore, discover, and let your spirit glow,"

Let us keep the charm alive, the wonder in sight,

So they're drawn to our world, and shine with delight.

When time comes calling, and they're ready to play,

Let us not hold them back, but cheer them on their way,

For in reclaiming wonder, we'll find our own,

And together, we'll dance, in a world that's overgrown.
