Time's Gentle Whisper

Time's Gentle Whisper

As years unfold like petals of a rose, I steal moments, fleeting, precious, and few, With tea-stained fingers, I gaze out the window's frame, Watching clouds drift by, their whispers weaving tales of yesteryear's flame. Memories dance like leaves on autumn's breeze, Childhood laughter echoes, a joyous tease, My children's smiles, a mosaic of delight, Blurred lines of time, yet love shines bright. Tall trees stand like sentinels of old, Their blooms a symphony, stories untold, I stroll through parks, hand in hand with the past, Uncertain who's guiding whom, yet love forever lasts. Birds build nests with precision and care, A haven for their young, a love beyond compare, But an empty nest, a poignant refrain, Echoes of growth, a bittersweet strain. Tears fall like rain, as I behold, My little angels, fledglings, taking flight, bold, Yet, pride swells within, a mother's delight, Job well done, as they spread their wings, shine bright. The mobile's ring, a gentle nudge, My daughter's voice, a warmth that never budges, "Where have they gone?" I ask, and smile, They're here, within me, their love, a gentle trial. They'll soar, they'll fly, they'll return to nest, Their world, a canvas, waiting to be blessed, And I'll be here, a guiding light, A mother's love, shining through the night.
