The Lone Butterfly

Pretty, little, lone butterfly,

Looking for a friend in the vast sky.

Many to see, but none to be

Her buddy to help her rise high. 

Sweet, sad, lone butterfly,

She was the big blue sky

With lovely twinkling stars,

As pure and innocent as flowers. 

Dainty, frail, lone butterfly,

The world was determined to make her cry.

The only one who could never rise.

Her emotions concealed by her eyes.

 A lovely, worried, lone butterfly

She soon gave up to always try.

Settling down never to be seen,

Waiting for her fate to die.
