Prescribed Codes
The time has come to change
Mindsets of those who are critical
About women dressing immodestly
About women drinking and smoking
About women making choices
On how to live, married or unmarried
A prescribed code of conduct for them
For the dawn of a new day has come
And with it, women have begun
To break away from mould created
One of subjugation to pig-headed men
To assert they are more than equals
In the unbalanced gender game
Where morals are designed only for women
The time has come to take cognizance
Role of women have long since changed
At home, at work, national/international levels
To many a source of inspiration, holding
A candle to those men so ego blinded
Grudgingly admit their growing strengths
For the day has come, and the mysteries
Have unraveled of a women's true mettle
