Muddling through the chaos of life

I've tried hard to create some space

Within myself, wherein I can retreat

In times of stress,

Away from all the mess.

Built high walled fortresses

To prevent voyeurs from peeping

Into the level of my subsconscious.

They are the invaders who never let me rest, envious of my ability to keep

Them at arms length.

They holler and scream for attention

With no avail

For once I have entered

The zone of silence;

Nothing, no one

Can gain entrance.
