Bajarangbali

He was tall, he was mighty,

his face like a monkey,

a devotee he was, of the Lord Rama, 

He crossed the ocean vast,

to an island, called Lanka,

in search of Ma Sita,

who was kidnapped by a demon, Ravana, 

The King of Lanka. 

Successful in his endeavor,

he located Devi Sita, 

but was caught by the men of Ravana.

To punish him ,

His tail was set on fire. 

To take the revenge,

he burned the city entire,

and escaped to the land where he belonged.

Impressed by his mighty feats,

Lord Rama, blessed him with

Divine Love.

 His role in the battle fought between good and evil was, 

full of valor. 

He carried a hill, to bring a herb, sanjeevani,

to cure Lakshmana,

the younger brother of Lord Rama. 

He helped Sugriva, regain his kingdom,

yet he stayed away from stardom.

For his only wish was to serve Lord Rama.

He proved, that worldly treasure is nothing,

when the Divine is within. 

And the name Of Lord Rama was enough to sail through 

the ' Oean of Life'. 

For his might, immeasurable strength, he was

called 'Bajarangbali '
