Are You Crazy?

"The house is flooded!" yelled her eldest son -

She dropped the dinner she'd just begun...

The water had reached almost every nook

She called her kids, who thought it was a brook!

She then looked for hubby ...Where was he?

There... On the bed, drinking a hot cup of tea!

"Get up at once !" she yelled. "Are you crazy?"

"No !" he drawled ....... "Just plain lazy! "

At length, he lifted himself onto his feet

And walked slowly to the wide window seat,

Where he found it nice and warm and cozy -

He wasn't scared at all ... Just plain nosy!

He saw the broken water pipe, 'was time to go

Before he sank and submerged nice and slow ;

The family had made it out without him -

And what of his wife, so angry and grim...?

Last heard of, above all the noise and din,

She was looking for him with a rolling pin!
