Give Me Courage

Lord, give me the courage to hope

With all travails I can always cope;

The courage not to harshly judge others -

All human beings my sisters and brothers.

Lord, the courage to correct my mistakes -

Face up to my faults, whatever it takes.

Give me the courage not to respond to hate -

Laugh it off and learn not to retaliate.

Lord, may I have courage when the end is near -

To exit this world with a smile not a tear.
