a date to remember
a date to remember
Sitting on a couch
After a hard day of work
I decided to have a date with myself,
A bowl of popcorn
Music so loud
I saw the screaming and running around
By my children,
I became the net over which all things were thrown
A toss of bowl, of cushions and my popcorn.
There was no way it seemed
It would be a peaceful scene
With the room now turning into a playground
I could see and hear them shout .
Forgetting what I had planned
The cushion was now a shield
Helping me escape from the place and the scene
That brought an end to the date I had dreamed.
