A Fuss So Special
A Fuss So Special

No wonder that brother and bother are one letter apart,
I may be daddy's little girl and mommy's treasure,
But that instrument of mockery calls me Chewbacca,
And watches me like a hawk beyond measure!
He plays as if every drop of sunlight is sacred,
As if fun is imprinted in his DNA,
All it took was lemonade and me
And the month of May!
At home, he's my nemesis,
A tag along and pain in the neck,
But at school, we are partners in crime,
Just like Donkey and Shrek.
I don't know what it is about him,
But he attrac
ts disasters wherever he goes,
Car accidents with homies,
And cross swords with foes.
But one day he surprised me,
I was shattered and he mend me up as brothers do,
And the roles were reversed,
He was broken and I embraced him as sisters do.
Now that he is raising a daughter,
Does he see me in her?
The sandcastles he creates with her by the beach,
Does he notice the forts we built by in a blur?
He is my brother,
A challenge among a heartbeat of challenges,
A henchman from my bloodline,
Worst enemy and best friend all in one neat package.
