Back In The Day

I Wrote this poem after a series of events happened in the city that I live in and some of you might agree or disagree but it was my thoughts so I just thought that I would see how far it would go in the contest. Hope you all enjoy it !!

             

Back in the day

They would stand on the corner

Anything you might have wanted They usually already had,

A few done most of the deals

While several brought in money and some called the shots,

But all of them were ready to pop At the first signs of a problem,

As long as they had a Smith n Weston or a pistol

They would already know

Just how to solve them,

Dudes like that were no joke

Cuz they always stood still 

With one in the chamber,

They was the real definition

Of a so called a true-gang-banger, Quick to snatch a life in a minute

With no second guessing,

As they put snitches in body bags So that they learn their lesson, 

It was not just a hobby for them This was everyday life,

They were married to the game

They had no time for kids and wives

Blood in and blood out

or sometimes chinga-de-matre,

Turning your back on your family Was a major no-no,

Cause they showed no remorse

Whether they were innocent or not, W

hen bullets would start flying everyone would get shot!!
