Who Is She?
Who Is She?
The teardrops run down
And then they fall
Right off of her nose
And she also cries
In all of those dark corners
Where nobody really goes.
But you could follow
Each and every single crack
From the poor child's eyes
All of the way down to her little chin,
Hidden beyond those little cracks,
If you try really hard
Then you will most likely be able to see
All of the years and years
Of letting unworthy people win
So her eyes eventually
Tell a meaningful story -
Of both anger and also of pain.
You might think that
The girl is very happy,
But just look one more time
And the scars of her past
Are hidden beneath her clothes
And a road map to all
Of the places that nobody knows.
Her smile is now painted,
She is a master of disguise.
And you can see it all -
If you would just look into her eyes.
