A Chance
A Chance
As we go about our lives'
Daily drudgery and grind,
We miss the chance to notice
Nature, serene and kind.
A chance to watch the sun rise,
To feel the morning breeze,
To hear the chirping birds,
The wonders never cease.
The majesty of the mountains,
The valleys dipping deep,
Standing proudly for us
In memories to keep
Don't ever lose this chance
So priceless and fine,
Or trade the joy and peace
For glimmer and shine
Oblivious to nature's bounties,
We go through this life,
Looking for a chance
To be happy, sans the strife.
God the creator, the artist
With strokes, skewed and curled
Has given us the chance
To feel his magical world.
