Space
Space
Space without and space within,
What purpose do they serve,
What secrets can they be holding,
And what magic might they weave?
Space immense, unfathomable,
Like the depths of the human mind,
The abode of the almighty Gods
Or empty vacuum, hostile, unkind.
Space, a vast expanse so dark,
Where no light can ever reach,
Can there ever be so bright a spark
To illumine and the darkness, breach?
The mind seeks the truth of the universe,
The Space might hold the key,
Its silent, dark bowels could apprise
Of life and death and eternity.
Space, a mystery of the universe,
Eerie, enigmatic and cold,
The blessings of it or the curse,
Will mankind ever behold?
