Children are a joy to behold,

Their innocence touches the heart,

Animates it and makes it proud,

Children are a breed apart.

Wearing heart on the sleeve,

Not hiding behind a mask

While grownups often try to deceive

Whatever may be the task.

Pure love they offer and evoke,

With no hatred or animosity

No villains in their magical world,

Filled with wonder and curiosity.

While we teach our children

To navigate this treacherous world,

We can take a few learnings

On living simple and untwirled.
