To Love and To Live
To Love and To Live
Avani is a kind-hearted and a loving girl. Being the youngest in the family, everyone always treated her like a child. For graduation, she decided to stay at the hostel. This became a turning point in her personal growth.
During her stay at the hostel, she developed the ability to handle her own life alone and how to be truly independent. In every aspect, she became more responsible. Her life was teaching her more valuable lessons than her age.
Avani, being a girl, started dreaming about her future life and her very own family. She was actually ready for marriage, and of course, her parents too wanted her to get married.
Avani got married to Rahul. Rahul always tried to show Avani that he was busy with his business and will soon involve her in it as well. With hope, Avani was ignoring many things or trying to adjust with unjust atmosphere at Rahul's home.
Rahul as a person was not bad, but the way he sees world or the way he grew up was kind of unnormal. Avani was sensitive, was trying to understand whatever was happening, why it was happening in such a way, and how things were turning from good to the other directions.
Rahul is actually trying to understand Avani, but his own belief system doesn't permit him to take care of or be concerned about her.
Do you know why a spouse is called "better half"?
Because, when two people live together and that to be in an intimate relationship like marriage, one knows the other, better than oneself. So another is "better half" of one.
Many times we ourselves don't know why we are doing things the way we do, but our spouse undersrands why we are doing them in that manner.
Yes, here, Avani and Rahul are both good but totally different. Rahul's behaviour with Avani was not to the mark Avani wanted to and so was Avani's behaviour was not to the mark Rahul wanted to. Rahul was more of a mother's boy, which led to his ignorance of his duties towards Avani.
Rahul, belongs to a family where they are comfortable asking their mother every little thing, be it household items or money, even after his marriage. Avani has led an independent life since childhood. She handled every situation by herself, though her family was always there for support.
Accepting an independent girl was getting difficult for Rahul and his family. Rahul never lived or tried to see such self-driven people around the world. With time, Avani understands this and tries to make Rahul understand the same.
For Rahul, material things were more important, but for Avani, material things have limited space in life. Avani was more of a caring and concerned person. For her, intentions and actions are of more important than the words spoken. Especially, when someone just keeps on promising things again and again but never ever tries to fulfill them.
By now, it was clear in Avani's mind that Rahul is not bad, but not good for me. Even though I am good, but not for Rahul. Whether Rahul understands this or not, is always a question mark for Avani.
Avani decides to leave Rahul.
Rahul got shattered but didn't try anything to make her comfortable. Even as time passed, Rahul never attempted to sort things out.
Still, Avani cares for him. She always thinks that Rahul wants her back but is helpless because of his own family pressure.
Though Avani loves Rahul, she also thinks that Rahul loves her as well. But as Rahul is uncomfortable in this situation he may also have a burden that makes him unable to give comfort to his wife. Avani decides to be separated from him. By this way, at least Rahul will be free from her side. Avani wants separation from him so he has no responsibilities towards her and can concentrate on his family.
Avani felt suffocated by the unhealthy atmosphere or behaviour of his family. But as per Avani, Rahul must be a more suffering person than her, as Rahul is unable to do what he wants and is not comfortable at home. Neither he was open to support nor was he happy to leave her. Sometimes, though you love each other, you can't live together.
Separation is always a painful process if you consider the other person to ba a part of you. One who goes through such an experience is blessed; to consider someone as part of you is actually a quality rarer than Kohinoor.
We all go happily to be with the person we love. But sometimes leaving a person you love for his betterment is true love, even if that process makes others think wrong of you.
Avani used to say, "Love is always to be for the betterment of both the parties involved in it, whatever the relationship. If not for both, at least for one of them, but never to degrade any of them. If anyone is feeling suffocated, others can try to give comforts.
Here, Avani and Rahul were both feeling uncomfortable. To live a happy life and to give happiness to others, one must be happy with oneself.
Two unhappy people won't ever create a happy world.
